Pirate bomb is our beer Prairie Bomb! aged in rum casks. The flavor from the casks helps impart more vanilla and coconut flavors to the beer while helping to add more body and smoothness to the already explosive and expressive flavors of Bomb!

From tap @ ZUP on 20.05.2015. Pours nicely, with brown head. Dark brown, almost black, clear. Aroma first chocolate, and roasted malts. After that some chilli and vanilla flavors. Taste makes clear that it was aged in rum casks - lightly sweet, smooth, much vanilla flavor, some warming alco. Overall a very good imperial stout, definitely worth trying if you can get it.

Flaska (tack NordicV). ABV 14,0 %. Stor kropp. Oljig munkänsla.

Sigmund (5987) - Tau, NORWAY - MAY 10, 2015
On tap at Cardinal Pub & Bar, Stavanger. Pitch black colour, low tan head. Aroma first of fusel alcohols, then molasses, rum oak cask, vanilla, coconut, chocolate and roast malts. Rich and warming mouthfeel. Outstanding flavour, medium sweet and roasty, no sign of fusel, otherwise all the delicious notes from the aroma are repeated and strengthened here. Nice chili heat in the finish. Perfect!

Bottle. Thanks to mike12da. Serious coffee and chocolate nose, rum, some light chile peppers, and fumes. Thick dark brown. Chocolate, very rich with hints of vanilla, chiles enter in mid palate, and the finish is a bit rough (though satisfying) with the chiles tickling the tongue and throat. Medium-heavy body. Creat blending of all flavors. They got the chile/burn level just right on this one.
