Pirate bomb is our beer Prairie Bomb! aged in rum casks. The flavor from the casks helps impart more vanilla and coconut flavors to the beer while helping to add more body and smoothness to the already explosive and expressive flavors of Bomb!

Bottle. Pitch black with a espresso coloured ring of foam. Aroma is dominated by cocoa powder, rum, chili, surprisingly faint aroma though. Taste has chocolate pudding, cocoa powder, vanilla, slight coffee, subtle rum notes, dark chocolate and perfect chili heat. Medium to full body, low carbonation, velvety smooth. Dry chocolatey chili after taste.
I’ve had Bomb!, BA Bomb! and now Pirate Bomb!. I do prefer the regular version, in this version, most things were a bit fainter than in the other ones. Still, very good.

RexTalionis (2963) - FINLAND - APR 2, 2015
Bottle. Black in color, tan head. Sweetish milk chocolate, coffee beans and licorice in aroma. There’s also some inviting dark fruityness, even bit of vanilla too. Smooth but with a warming twist. Tastewise one gets some wooden oaky notes, chocolatey vinous rum and bit of biting chili. Later some coffee infused vanilla appears. Chocolate and dark fruityness with a slightly burning finish.

Franzen (386) - SWEDEN - APR 1, 2015
Aroma of dark chocolate, bourbon, burnt wood, liquorice and dark syrup. Taste starts of with sweet vanilla like taste, kind of like marshmallows. The sweetness transients over to a coffee like bitterness with quite some taste of rum in the background. Complex beer with lots of taste and aroma, although maybe to mighty to drink by the bottle sharing with a few friends might be a good idea.

Pitch black color, small head. Strong aroma, chocolate, strong presence of dusty mexican chili peppers. Thick mouthfeel, chocolate flavor, moderately sweet, but with some artificial vanilla, some tobacco, chilies.
Nice, but something’s not right.
