Bottle shared with and thanks to kermis. Pours almost black with a short lasting brown head. Aroma is dark chocolate, Booze, some chili but less than bomb. Lots of vanilla, rum, dark fruits and coffee. Amazing mix of flavours. Quite a bit of sweetness. Moderate bitterness. Full bodied. Long rum and chocolate finish. Absolutely incredible.

Bottle shared, side by side tasting with batch 1 Bomb. Pours near black with a ring beige head. Aroma of rich dark chocolate, vanilla, cardboard (in a good way), rum, roast and coffee. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and bitter. Chilli coming out in the palate as well and leaving a nice light warmth in the back of the throat as you drink more. Fairly thick and oily mouthfeel. Full bodied with soft carbonation. Compared to Bomb! The chilli is lighter, the mouthfeel is thicker and the rum seems to add a touch more complexity. A really great beer!

Bottle courtesy of Kermis. Poured a deep mahogany with a round bubbly tan head. The aroma is big dry roasted malt, coffee, chocolate. The flavour is strong bitter with a rich creamy rum bitter spicy palate. Full bodied with flat carbonation. A super oily mouthfeel and a long bitter finish.

12oz bottle from ant_wailes and first rate of the year. Black with a dark mocha head. Vanilla, roasted malts, chocolate, rum and a bit of shrimp cocktail sauce. Very smooth, moderate carbonation and mostly full body, slightly bitter with a nice vanilla bean sweetness, dry, bit of chilli on the end, delicious.

opened 12/28/13. Thick black. Coffee, and dark roast on the nose. The way I describe it is it’s 85% BOMB, 15% Rum Barrel.

12oz bottle into a Prairie teku. Jet black pour with a good size mocha head that disappears quickly. Aroma is rum, coffee, rich chocolate, molasses. Taste is sticky chocolate, pepper heat, molasses, espresso, rum, and slight oak. Like the base, alcohol is well hidden. Super thick, mouth coating. Although this is flat out delicious, I think the base beer is more impressive.

Black with a khaki head. Nose is alcohol, rum, wood, peppers, sticky, and chocolate. Great palate, sticky malts, pepper, alcohol, chocolate, easy finish for the abv.

12oz bottle pours a dark brown/black with a small reddish tan head. Smells like a chocolate rum ball, chocolate and vanilla with sweet oaky rum. Rum is there in the taste making it more dry, bakers chocolate flavors, vanilla, some earthiness from the chiles, and bittering from the coffee. Really nice, I prefer normal Bomb just a bit more.

Huge thanks to Dmac for sharing this as my first rating after my son was born...and home. Pours black with a thin tan head; pours syrupy. Aroma is of chocolate, cinnamon, sweet fruity notes, light spicy chilies, wood. Taste is dark dried fruits, cinnamon, some subtle, but lingering spicy chilies, vanilla-oaky rum flavors, sweet syrupy vanilla, light coffee, roast, some more chocolate sweetness, and some burning alcohol on the finish, but for being 15% the ABV is rather well masked.

Almost black in color, dark brown head. So the rum mutes a little of the base beer. Not that it hurts it, but I prefer the regular by a little bit. Still a nice beer.
