Bottle thanks to artmcd8. Poured slightly darker then Bomb with darker tan head. Pleasant barrel char aroma with slight spice choc. Med bod light carb. Taste of char, choc with boozy rum finish. Nice

Look at the ratings, what else can I say? Slightly smoother than Bomb, but not sweeter per se. That could be itís only knock--for me--is that I really liked the aggressiveness of the Bomb. But that just being nit picky on a stellar brew.

Pours a deep burnt umber with a finger of khaki foam. The nose is sweet chocolate syrup with lots of underlying complexity of coconut, marshmallow, cinnamon and earthy pepper. The palate follows the nose with a big roasty chocolate malt base that is a perfect accomplice to the spiced pepper, vanilla soaked booze that rides into the finish. Great lingering cinnamon and marshmallow finish. Damn near perfection !

12oz, green waxed bottle, via trade. finally able to land one of these. pours an oily, slick, deep black capped by a thick, creamy, mocha head that leaves smooth sheets of lace. aroma is truly excellent with big notes of chocolate malt balls, devilís food cake, cocoa puffs, and vanilla beans backed by cinnamon spice, rich, smoky peppers, espresso, and hints of wet wood with a subtle touch of rum cake as it warms up. flavor is remarkable as well with big, rich vanilla, bunt cake with rum-raisin icing, spices, and butterscotch backed by dark chocolate, light coffee, ash, and very subtle pepper heat that lingers on the finish. palate is full bodied and smooth with light carbonation and a pleasing heat. overall, the rum barrel aging adds a great level of complexity and sweetness to the base Bomb which was one of the beers of the year for me. well done.

Bottle, green wax, pours a jet black, light tan head, aroma is roasty, taste is lots of coffee of front, a very light hint of head, a coco powder, some vanillia, didnt get much in the way of barrels in there, maybe a light hint, overall very interesting stuff

375mL bottle, pours jet black with a small brown head. Aroma is amazingly complex, full of vanilla, coffee, cocoa, and slight chilis - donít really get any of the rum barrels. Flavour brings out a melange of various things, such as vanilla upfront, followed by cocoa, coffee and rum. The chilis arenít really any longer discernible. Finishes on notes of coffee, rum and vanilla. Extremely well-integrated and complex. I think I prefer the regular Bomb!, though this is definitely delicious.

This beer got seriously Oklahomered. Its pretty decent with a heavy coffee and vanilla nose. Taste is very sweet and a bit boozy with heavy vanilla, play doh, raw flour, light coffee, and mollases. Really needs some roast or some other drying element. Pretty good but nothing great.

UPDATED: DEC 5, 2013 Bottle, decent, a little too sweet and vanilla. Chillis are muted, rum is there a bit, itís good. Coffee aroma, sweet and thin, no complexity

12oz bottle shared. Pitch black with a tan head that disappears quickly. Very sweet aroma of rum, coffee, and tobacco. The barrel aging really subdues all the characteristics that make the regular Bomb! so great and add slight hints of oak, and a bit of a rum character. As good as it is, I prefer the regular version.
