4.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20
Bottle generously shared by Randall. Blowin’ up (as they say) for rating number 1700. Dark brown pour with a tan head. Peanut butter aromas. Dark roasted malts, vanilla, mild cocoa, with some heat from the chiles. Very complex and tasty. The rum and oak notes almost fade into the background on this one. Chocolate sub tones. Very tasty and the 15% ABV is well hidden. Bravo...

4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
Bottle @ Pat’s tasting. Black pour with a tan head. Coffee, coffee, and coffee. Chocolate, vanilla, roasted malt, and graham cracker. Nice coconut notes as well. Flavor is nicely sweet. Tons of vanilla, coconut, and graham cracker. Coffee really dominates, though. Nice chocolate with just a hint of spice. Noms.

4.3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20
UPDATED: DEC 10, 2013 Fantastic 12oz Bottle art here - Prairie provides hope to the craft beer community in Oklahoma, no doubt. This one pours heavy dark brown with a one finger, fine bubbled khaki head into this snifter. It retains modestly, with some light spotting present, eventually providing a light ring around the glass. The nose is coffee bean dominant, moving to vanilla and some dark fruits here - cacao reveals itself as well, with a hint of booze present, too. I found, overall, that the flavor profile has an incredible balance from one tasting note to the next, and on top of that : the booze takes a back seat ; theres a hint of heat but for the abv, i’m impressed. Initially, I have to say I was not. And then I realized the subtle nuances present here as it warmed and had to eat my words, so to speak. The flavor profile reveals dark fruit and cacao, vanilla and coffee bean are certainly present , with a slight fruity / earthen barrel treatment present, moving to a very simple hint of heat. This is most certainly a pirate bomb to the face - Much respect to Prairie

Wow this is an absolutely amazing imperial stout! I love Prairie Bomb, but this just really amps that beer up big time! Be sure to start the beer at about 45 degrees and sip on it for a half hour or so and enjoy all the changes and complexities in flavor that come out. Coffee, Chocolate, Rum, Cocoa, chilies, vanilla and oak. Phenomenal brew!

4.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 20/20
Bottles thanks to soonerchamps and abslyde. Glad I stocked up on this one because it is amazing. Pours a deep black with a light brown thin head. Aroma of rum, chocolate, as it warms some heat comes out but not as much as regular Bomb. Some coffee comes out as well. Thick mouthfeel and medium high carbonation.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
12oz bottle via trade shared with Dean. Poured a super pitch black body under an average sized dense foamy beige head. Aroma of chocolate, vanilla extract, spiced rum, barrel, touch of dark fruit. Fuller body with a good amount of alcohol heat throughout, average carbonation and a fuller slightly creamy finish. Flavor is big and roasty with lots of chocolate and rum along with charred barrel and some light sweet spice. Solid beer but was expecting more the way everyone is all ISO for this one.

4.3 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 15/20
A - pours thick opaque espresso with very low head. S - the aromas of this really stand out from the original. Rich dark chocolate, vanilla, roasted malts, sweet espresso and rum. Smells so rich and sweet. M - heavy thick body. Full palate. Much more complex that regular bomb!. Lingering sweet heavy end with some sticky sweetness and rum heat. T - chocolate fierce. Rich milk and dark chocolate, vanilla, toasted oak, roasted malts, caramel, toasted coconut, espresso, coffee grounds, vanilla, and rum. O - really an improvement over regular bomb. 4.3
