COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Pirate bomb is our beer Prairie Bomb! aged in rum casks. The flavor from the casks helps impart more vanilla and coconut flavors to the beer while helping to add more body and smoothness to the already explosive and expressive flavors of Bomb!

Chocolate aroma. Small dark brown head. Initial taste of coffee and alcohol with a strong chocolate aftertaste. Truly one of the best beers I have ever had.

Wow this is an absolutely amazing imperial stout! I love Prairie Bomb, but this just really amps that beer up big time! Be sure to start the beer at about 45 degrees and sip on it for a half hour or so and enjoy all the changes and complexities in flavor that come out. Coffee, Chocolate, Rum, Cocoa, chilies, vanilla and oak. Phenomenal brew! ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Look at the ratings, what else can I say? Slightly smoother than Bomb, but not sweeter per se. That could be it’s only knock--for me--is that I really liked the aggressiveness of the Bomb. But that just being nit picky on a stellar brew.

This one is just PERFECT. Outstanding aroma of coffee, cocoa, vanilla and rum. Great taste of coffee, cocoa, chilli, vanilla, coconut and rum. Spicy, full-bodied imperial stout.

2014 bottle. Aroma - rum barrel, vanilla, chile. Appearance - motor oil, small to no head. Taste-Vanilla, coffee, rum, slight drying chile heat. Palate-Thick, viscous, lingering. Overall- An excellent beer, one of my favorites, the faint chile heat lasts until your next sip. It doesn’t take long to want another sip.

Pours dark brown with a minimal head. Smells of chocolate and coffee, so it’s no wonder that those both dominate the initial taste. The alcohol and vanilla begin to appear, followed by a perfect amount of heat from the chilies. Nice mouth, but not as oily as I would have expected. This is an absolutely wonderful, memorable beer.

Holy schnikes, Batman! 12 oz bottle split with my wife into 2 snifters. Green wax, first batch. Pour is very dark brown with that middle dark Abercrombie kind of khaki colored head. Primarily opaque with mild translucency around the glass edge. First smell at roughly 50 degrees Fahrenheit. Wow. Like an adult Mounds candy bar with coffee added. Lots of coconut, cacao, dark chocolate, mild toffee, sweet rum, bold and acidic coffee. Decadent. Taste is beyond delicious. All the Aromatic notes blossom into a really well balanced flavor profile. Rum is first and last, but it never overwhelms. Raisin, bitter coffee, salted caramel, dark chocolate, Light barrel character, light chili pepper, and a great sweet vs bitter interplay comprise the taste. Palate is filling but slightly thin for what I’d expect. A bit of burn sets in, but it’s chili-based. As it warms it becomes nearly sublime. If I had dreamed of this before tasting it, I wouldn’t and couldn’t have imagined it tasting much better. Well done Prairie!

Pours like syrup. Big, black and thick. Those nose shows a lot of chocolate and hints of espresso. But the cacao nibs take the superstar spotlight here. The palate shows much of the same but the heat from the peppers appear on the back end to create a warm finish. Perfect for the winter season. Delicious and highly recommend for stout lovers.
