3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Fat på Mikkeller Bar.
Grumlig ljusgul vätska.
Doftar som ett kryddigt vitt vin.
Jättebra blandning av sötma, krydda och strävhet.

4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Reviewed from notes.
This was poured into a tulip.
The appearance was a healthy looking golden yellow to orange with a fair brown color in the center of the beer. The head was about a finger’s worth of soft white foaminess that dissipated gently to leave a gentle strings of lacing.
The smell started off with a black pepper and light spicy connotation of the hop content. There’s a nice sweet grassy quality with a light lemongrass coming in.
The taste was smooth and sweet with a decent light spiciness to enliven my taste buds.
On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a fairly decent sessionability about it. The carbonation was somewhat sharp but still a decent smoothness rolling around on my tongue.
Overall, this was a very good offering from a pretty stellar company.

UPDATED: AUG 31, 2014 Bomber to glass. Very interesting beer and probably best saison I have had? Barnyard, hay, slight citrus, and pepper. Huge white foamy head. Taste is similar to aroma with some light tartness. Nice brew

Wow! Well I think I’ve discovered one of my new favorite breweries! Seriously...I’ve bought 4 items from Prairie and this is the first one I’m drinking...a hint of butter and barnyard straw on the nose. Oh so light and tasty. Vaporizes on the palate almost. Pepper up front mixed with straw and a hint of dirt...buttery brett pineapple in the middle...the faint funk towards the back...and 30 seconds later a sour mash flavor. Brilliant work here. Brilliant...

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Blasting cherry pie Brett aroma as soon as you pop the cap. Also the beer comes blasting out as well as this is massively carbed. Huge pillowy lacy head. Nice golden color. Big cherry aroma from the glass with some sweet fruit as well. The horsey earthy Brett flavor dominates along with some peppery notes. Hints of tropical fruit come out more as it warms. Love Brett, love this beer.

Bottle thanks to Casey. Pours a cloudy yellow with large white frothy head that leaves good sticky lacing. The aroma is strong yeast, funk, brett. Medium mouthfeel with nice wheat, brett, oak, and light dry finish. Very good.

On tap at Scratch Bar 090814. Possibly the best Saison I have had. Soft white head covers a well carbonated golden amber beer. The flavour is full on and fills the mouth with tropical fruit, lingering long in the mouth well after the beer is gone.
