Prairie Ale is our classic saison. We brew this beer with pilsner malt, wheat malt, flaked wheat, and cane sugar. A healthy dose of saaz hops are used to add a spicy element to the beer. Prairie Ale is fermented with a mix of ale yeast, wine yeast, and brettanomyces. Notes of black pepper and pineapple can be found in this beer.

Bottle from bottlecraft. Pours hazy gold with ample frothy white head. Aroma is full of citrus, pepper, a little funk, wheat, bubblegum. Smells awfully inviting. Taste - tropical, juicy, bitter finish, almost no sweetness. Lively carbonation, light mouthfeel, dry, lightly bitter and mineral finish. Overall: this is great. Wish I could share it at a tasting, but I'd already sat on it for months and it was calling to me. Look forward to trying pretty much anything from these folks. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

750 ml. corked and caged bottle. As soon as I removed the cage, the cork popped out. Beer was tired of being in the bottle. Golden, cloudy yellow with a massive foamy head. Aromas of yeast, bread, hay, citrus, spice and malt. Slightly acidic, but so balanced. This is a winner.

This corked and caged bottled brew from a bottle shop poured a head of finely sized bubbles that were long lasting and left behind a hazy yellow colored body and a good lacing. The mild aroma was semi-sweet and dough. The mouth feel was tingly at the start and at the finish. The mild flavor contained notes of bitter Brett mild spice mild hops and floral. A decent one that I would consider drinking again.

Bottle. Poured a hazy orange yellow color with an average frothy white head that mostly lasted with good lacing. Moderate floral hop, citrus and sour yeast aroma. Medium to abundant body with a smooth texture and soft carbonation. Medium to heavy spice bittersweet flavor with a medium to heavy bittersweet finish of moderate to long duration. I drank with and would recommend this to a friend.

Frothy and persistent head on a light caramel cloudy beer. Aroma of sweetgrass, bread and citrus. Super refreshing taste...like a crisp green salad riddled with fresh fruit and splashed with lime and pepper. Ridiculously light and delicious. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Wonderful beer. It's like making sweet love to your soulmate in a barn while singing birds circle around your sweaty passion heap and you won the lottery too. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

750ml bottle, shared by tmoney99. Mostly clear golden color. Thin white head. Lace doesn’t really stick. Head soon fades to a minimal ring. Great citrusy, spicy, bready, peppery aroma. Medium to bigger body. Smooth, kind of soft, but lighter and kind of crisp carbonation, with a more dry spicy finish. Nice citrus, funky, bretty finish to it. Some zesty orange peel. Moderate bitter, light zesty sweet taste. Good, spicier, bretty citrusy saison, if you like your saisons that way. If you don’t, you’re not going to like this.

UPDATED: JUL 24, 2013 Bottle (750 ml). Shared by BeerGolem, huge thanks! Hazy bright yellow with a medium easy to revive white head and good lacing. Aroma is of Farmhouse/Saison yeast with citrus, brettanomyces, herbal/floral notes and fruits. Taste is yeasty with fruity brettanomyces, citrus, light malt, lime, light tartness and a nice citrusy finish. Light to medium body. Dry. Good carbonation. Super refreshing and quite complex Saison. I love the citrusy aspect of this one. Really a great beer. So quenching.
