COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Prairie Ale is our classic saison. We brew this beer with pilsner malt, wheat malt, flaked wheat, and cane sugar. A healthy dose of saaz hops are used to add a spicy element to the beer. Prairie Ale is fermented with a mix of ale yeast, wine yeast, and brettanomyces. Notes of black pepper and pineapple can be found in this beer.

Bottle shared with bytemesis. Very cloudy yellow. Fruity aroma, pineapple juice, grass, peppery. Flavor has a nice bitterness, clean saison flavors, similar to aroma without the pepper, dry. Solid. Drinks milder than the 8 ABV on the label.

Bottle, bit of a gusher. Pours cloudy golden orange with a large puffy white head that dissipates slowly leaving clumpy lacing on the glass. Aroma is grass, pepper, funky basement, a bit of lemon. Flavor follows, light sweet and just a bit of zesty bitterness. Some fruity characteristics as well. Not a lot of funk on the palate, but a bit of tartness is present. Spicy green peppercorn notes lingering on the finish. This is a pretty easy drinking saison with no hint of a whopping 8.2% ABV. Dangerous! Light body, high carbonation.
