Another exceptional ale by these guys. Pours a hazy light yellow. Mountains of merengue head. Aromas of white wine, funk, tropical fruit. Nice classic Belgian saison flavors, Belgian yeast, with notes of white wine and some funk and fruitiness.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
(Rating #9,800) Bottle... Pours hazy and golden with a huge, frothy, white head. Good retention. The nose is a mélange of citric acid, bread and a very light, farmhouse yeast-driven, spicy phenol. Medium to full-bodied with spritzy carbonation. The flavor is bready and a hint acidic with a rumor of clove. Crisp, refreshing, dry finish. Bottle courtesy of Rosebud butternuts!

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle. Beermoth, Manchester. Slow gusher. Fight it into a glass and it’s hazy, pale gold. Thin, messy, white head. Sweet, creamy, bready, lightly funky nose. Soft mineral. Soft spice. Some grassy hop. Taste is dry, first off, then turns sugary sweet. Palate is a tad flabby. A bit greasy, too. Finishes a bit mushy sweet. Dry close.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottled. Foam started to gush as soon as i opened the beer, and an ordinary pour resulted in a huge head. Cloudy orange color, and tons of carbonation. Lots of brett, which dominates the flavor and aroma making this very dry. Some grassy flavor, dry hops, but I didn’t pick up saaz specifically. Some barnyard quality; and the yeast is prominent.

3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Surprise! It’s a bit of a gusher. Dirty dark yellow with good white foamy head. Dusty malt and light Brett scent. Soft foamy palate. Bit of peppery kick at the end with a pinch of fruit. A bit heavy handed without the magic I expect from best of style. A bit mellony with pepper notes.

Bottle, bought from Bierkompass in March 2014.
Hazy golden with a large white head. Aroma of floral hops, grass, brett, some light pepper and citrus. Similar taste. A bit sweet and with a bitter finish. A descent one.
