Prairie Ale is our classic saison. We brew this beer with pilsner malt, wheat malt, flaked wheat, and cane sugar. A healthy dose of saaz hops are used to add a spicy element to the beer. Prairie Ale is fermented with a mix of ale yeast, wine yeast, and brettanomyces. Notes of black pepper and pineapple can be found in this beer.

On tap at Barley Brothers Stadium. Pale in colour and crystal clear with a white head. Sweet and fruity with a touch of citrus zest. Very slightly tart and pretty dry, nicely balanced. Simple but tasty.

Pours hazy yellow orange with a generous lemon head. Nose is funk, Brett, wheat, grass, lemon, coriander, and spices. Flavour is orange zest, barnyard, dried apricot, citrus, and lemon drop. Moderate carbonation. Nice saison.

Lightly clouded gold-straw with huge off-white head, moderate coarseness, slow rate of decay. Aroma is tart and funky, lightly cheesy, spicy hopes, some lemon cleaner scent with a touch of mineral content. Body is light, watery, slightly oily, with a huge, tingly-prickly moderate-coarseness carbonation that has moderate-strong burn and fills the mouth. Flavor is lemon-orange-grapefruit (no pineapple, guava), maybe a touch of persimmon and children’s purple Tylenol?, a touch of dry herbal bitterness in the finish that lingers, tingling, not biting. Very little sweetness. A very crisp, yummy Brett saison!

Bottle thanks to McNeillR. Appearance - hazy golden with a nice thin head. Nose - very funky, dry yeast, lemon. Taste - dry and yeasty as well as the lemon thing as well. Palate - light bodied with a tight texture that as also very deep. Very dry indeed. Overall - palate-strippingly dry.

Bottle at Ashton McCobb’s. Pours pale gold with a thin white head. Aromas of Brett funk, sherbet, sour. Taste is really bretty, sour, sharp. Very dry finish. Too much.

Another exceptional ale by these guys. Pours a hazy light yellow. Mountains of merengue head. Aromas of white wine, funk, tropical fruit. Nice classic Belgian saison flavors, Belgian yeast, with notes of white wine and some funk and fruitiness.

(Rating #9,800) Bottle... Pours hazy and golden with a huge, frothy, white head. Good retention. The nose is a mélange of citric acid, bread and a very light, farmhouse yeast-driven, spicy phenol. Medium to full-bodied with spritzy carbonation. The flavor is bready and a hint acidic with a rumor of clove. Crisp, refreshing, dry finish. Bottle courtesy of Rosebud butternuts!

Bottle. Beermoth, Manchester. Slow gusher. Fight it into a glass and it’s hazy, pale gold. Thin, messy, white head. Sweet, creamy, bready, lightly funky nose. Soft mineral. Soft spice. Some grassy hop. Taste is dry, first off, then turns sugary sweet. Palate is a tad flabby. A bit greasy, too. Finishes a bit mushy sweet. Dry close.
