Bottle. Pours bright gold with white head. Aroma is pale malts, funky Brett, lemon, pineapple, and faint bubblegum. Flavor is crisp and sweet with great tropical and citrus esters, light hops, and some nice subtle tartness. Light body.

500 ml bottle into tulip glass, bottled on 5/15/2015. Moderate gusher upon opening. Pours hazy pale golden yellow color with a 1-2 finger fairly dense white head with solid retention, that reduces to a thin cap that lingers. Light spotty lacing clings on the glass, with a moderate amount of streaming carbonation. Aromas of lightly tart lemon, lime, apricot, pear, green apple, white grape, wheat, cracker, hay, straw, grass, light musty funk, light leather, and herbal/yeast earthiness. Damn nice aromas with good balance and complexity of fruity/funky/spicy yeast and pale malt notes; with good strength. Taste of lightly tart lemon, lime, apricot, pear, green apple, white grape, wheat, cracker, hay, straw, grass, pepper, light musty funk, light leather, and herbal/yeast earthiness. Moderate earthy yeast spiciness and slight tartness on the finish; with lingering notes of lemon, lime, apricot, pear, green apple, white grape, wheat, cracker, hay, straw, grass, pepper, and herbal/yeast earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Damn nice complexity and robustness of fruity/funky/spicy yeast and pale malt flavors; with a great malt/yeast balance and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Medium-high carbonation and medium bodied; with a very smooth, crisp, and slightly creamy/bready mouthfeel that is nice. Alcohol is very well hidden with minimal warming present after the finish. Overall this is an excellent golden wild ale. All around great complexity, robustness, and balance of fruity/funky/spicy yeast and pale malt flavors; and very smooth and crisp to drink for the ABV. A very enjoyable offering.

Bottle. Aromas are strong sour lemons, pear, white wine and light grass. Tastes light to moderately sour. Leather, lemon juice, white grapes, pears, and wood. Spritzy carbonation. Very dry finish. Salty too. Really good.

Draft at Gnarly Barley. This one pours a hazy straw yellow color with two fingers of off-white foam at the head. The foam quickly settles into a thin film. The aroma shows notes of funky Brett along with tropical and light stone fruit and a hint of white wine. The flavor follows with the tropical and stone fruit, touch of lemon zest up front followed by light funky Brett, some tart acidic notes and vinous white wine oak to bring things into balance. Medium bodied with effervescent carbonation that leads to a tart and dry finish. A solid sour saison hybrid type of beer.

Beautiful straw fruity funk sour aroma. It’s a very cloudy gold with a light white head. So light and refreshing with a lemon tartness over a light sour grain. Very refreshing light.

Hazy golden orange with white head that quickly dissipates... Bottle overflowed as soon as I opened it... Aroma of dirty socks, hay, earth, hint of lemon zest and tartness....flavor is sweet and fruity initially, but quickly goes dry and finishes exceedingly dry ... Like day old champagne... Not my favorite, but drinkable ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

appearance: as soon as I popped the top the beer immediately overflowed out of the bottle, the white head dissipated very quickly, the beer is is a slightly hazy average gold color, Aroma: lemon, pear, funky, egg, Taste: has a lemon tart sour note to it, not sweet at all, some bitterness as well, Palate: lively carbonation, leaves mouth dry, light mouthfeel, bitter and funky aftertaste Overall: absolutely delicious beer, sour but not as sour as most sours, the hint of funk is nice too, has bitter aspect that really blends well, only dissipointment was the bottle overflowing, rough handling was not the cause ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
