750mL shared at a tasting. Cork blew off the bottle followed by a light gush out the bottle. Pours an very cloudy pale straw color. This was a brett centric brew with lemony funk all over the place. Lots of tartness and vibrant funk. A bit of sour but mostly a lemony brett bright beer. Real nice.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
The nose smells quite tart and fruity from the get go. A careful pour into my New Belgium goblet produces a three finger thick, and more than my glass can handle, pale tan colored head. In eating the foam I get a tart, dried grassy character. The aroma has a certain cider like edge to its tartness, it definitely has a lactic character to it, and it has a straw / dried hay like pale grain character to it as well. There is a slight mustiness here as well as some funky, earthy note that accentuated the grassy side of the aromatics.
Effervescent and tart, with a soft, but present body that lightly coats the palate. There is definitely a floral, fruity character here that reminds me of fresh cut apples, a touch of starfruit, and perhaps a dry, honeydew melon like character somehow. The beer really is quite floral, and this is accentuated by a dried grass, hay / straw like malt character that also has just a touch of saltine cracker like grain character to it as well. In many ways that reminds me of a funky, dry, white wine; the vinous quality has an almost grape like quality to it and there even seems to be a suggestion of oak here somehow (likely a mix of the bugs and toasty grain character).
I wasnít expecting a Sour beer when I popped the cork, it is pretty good though, and in truth does sort of seem a bit of a sour take on a Saison more than anything. Not the most complex beer in the world, but it is quite nice, and I wouldnít mind getting a few more bottles of this; cellaring it might be interesting to see if the Brettanomyces and other bugs do anything to it as it ages.

pale gold color. Bubbly white head and rising bubbles. Zesty, lemon funk nose. Not over bearing sour. Very bubbly carbonation. Some funk/sour tones but nothing crazy. Lots of lemon/lime type flavors. Dries out with lemon notes. Enjoyable.

Hazy golden yellow with lively, quickly dissipating eggshell color foam. Aromas of lemon, barnyard, caramel. The flavor hits with a nice pucker, semi-sweet, a bit bready. Itís a delicious straight up sour ale.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle from soonerchamps. This pours a golden color with a short-lived white head. Thin wispy lacing glides along the sides of the glass but doesnít ever amount to much. The aroma shows sour tropical fruits of peach and lemon, with some lavender as well. Notes of flowers, grass, and funky yeast round out the scent. This is crisp and tart going down with citric acidity tingling the back of the throat. Some lemon, grass, and funky flavors throughout. Light herbal undertones add a nice element with a touch of floral sweetness. Thereís a bit of a wine/champagne character, but thatís pretty common with the yeast used here. Clean and dry; definitely a good palate cleanser. Not their best, but no doubt another good one from Prairie; this is becoming the norm by now. Itís refreshing, with the right amount of sourness and funk for my tastes.

3.4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle-purchased at Broadway Liquors in OKC April 2013
Pours hazy golden yellow with barely any head. looks really dull. very fizzy carbonation but still no head. nose is of green grapes, lactic acid, barnyard funk, champaign (fruity). flavors exhibit a lemon sourness with notes of green grapes, champaign and a touch of lite brett. really not all that interesting. the body suffers from high carbonation however, i think thats what they were trying to go for in this beer. the flavors suffer though-not much going on really. just alot of green grapes and lemon drop. Has a touch of Gueze-like qualities in terms of the funk but thats where it ends. A decent beer but so far, the least best of the bunch from this brewery.
