Prairie Gold is a dry, highly effervescent saison fermented with a mix of ale yeast, wine yeast, lactobacillus and 2 strains of brettanomyces. This beer highlights the various yeasts and bacteria used to make it. Lemon, pear, white wine grapes, and a touch of funk dominate the flavor and aroma in this champagne like beer.

Cloudy golden and copper coloured body with a soda-like head that fades just as fast as you can pour it. Aroma of yeast, grass, pale grass, wheat, sour grapes and way more yeast - strong. Medium-bodied; Assertive sour flavour with brett very noticeable, coupled with some lemons, grass, herbs, wheat and a dry finish, like a saison showing some white pepper too. Aftertaste shows the brett flavours coupled with a dry yeast note that feels like a belgian pale ale with a little extra sweetness at the end. Overall, a good beer, but way overrated just from the print on the label. A solid brett-based saison with a touch of sour notes and some complexity, but not worth the price nor trying to find this out of the ordinary. I sampled this 50 cL bottle purchased from New Beer Distributors in New York, New York on 19-June-2015 for US$12,00 sampled at home in Washington on 04-October-2015.

Sour saison Clear golden with thin white head. Funky farmy nose Light citrus, Light body Dry tangerine, Dry slightly oily finish. I like this one a lot.

Pours murky golden straw body with loose white head that vanishes rather quickly. Massively carbonated evidenced by steady upward stream of bubbles. Aroma is lemon zest, sour lactics, mild grass, sea salt, and teases of heady funk. Tart acidic lemon warhead taste that melds into a velvety finish, even though the carbonation level is crazy fizzy up front. Definite white wine characteristics present along with notes of hay and glimpses of brett. Light bodied, super refreshing and drinkable.

Bottle courtesy of Moose but enjoyed in a lovely paper tumbler courtesy of the Niceville Hampton Inn. Hazy gold color with big time carbonation and a huge white head. Big, tart, sour aroma that hits you from across the table. The flavor has hints of white grapefruit and is pleasantly sour but not overpowering. Pretty nice. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Keg at Rainbow event at Beavertown, London. It pours a hazy golden color with medium white head. Aroma is lightly tangy and acidic, some brett some citrus some hay. Taste is medium dry and lightly tangy and acidic with more notes of lemon hay and apricots. Light to medium bodied with good carbonation. Overall, good but quite simple

Beavertown Spectrum Fest. Keg. Lightly hazy gold beer, small pale cream colour head. Palate is light and semi dry, mild fine carbonation. Medium tart lemon, sweetish florlaness and a touch of something sweet - nutty. Not bad. Light finish.

Bottle at home. Pours cloudy yellow with a small, fizzy white head, short retention with no lacing. Aroma is lactic grapes and lemon with light earthy wheat malt. Flavor is light salt, earthy wheat malt, lactic grapes and lemon zest with a dry finish. Light body and carbonation.

7%ABV.  Sour/Wild Ale. Poured out of the bottle a light pale cloudy gold about 6ºSRM. Nose was full of a fruity, yeasty aroma.  There was a bright hit of fresh bread dough. Palate is full of bright lemon-like fresh sourness.  Like a yellow grapefruit with a nice citrus zest like bitter end.  There is a slightly longer hop finish for a wheat beer,  Goes on favorites list for being  an interesting product of hybrid brewing; one tasty hoppy witbier with saison-like traits.
