4.3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 19/20
This is my first beer from Prairie, and hopefully won’t be the last. Hazy golden amber pour with a fluffy white head. Aroma is tart and slightly grainy. Lemon pith, lemongrass, lime leaf, honey. Flavor is lightly acidic up front, lending a tart, bright character. Lemon and lime, with lightly floral hops. Toast and grass. I wouldn’t call it "funk" but there’s definitely yeast character to it that’s almost funky. Reminds me of stuff like Jolly Pumpkin or Fantome with that bright, expressive, fresh tart Belgian character. I could probably find notes of just about any citrus fruit I looked for. Just that right balance where the hops are clearly bringing out and highlighting the natural fruity notes of the saison without just tasting like a beer with a bunch of hops dumped in it. Hits that spot that makes your mouth water and crave sip after sip. Honestly a bit thick and heavy for a hot summer day, but great with a meal of fish. Carbonation is on the light side, but I probably wouldn’t want to up it for fear that it would take away from the way that the acidity lingers on the tongue.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle. Pours hazy golden, large off-white head, dissipates fairly slowly, nice lacing. Aroma is hay, citrus, passionfruit, lemon, funk. Flavor is light sweet, light bitter, citrus, very light funkiness, pepper. Light body, high carbonation. Solid beer, but I think I drank it in no-mans land; not fresh enough for the hops to shine, not old enough for the funk to develop.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
A light hazy orangeish brown color with ample white fluffy head. Smells of fresh cut grass, horse blanket, pine, wheat. Taste is a grassy hoppy fresh taste, some of the horse blanket, a little bit of grain/wheat, finished with a tiny bit of caramel malt sweetness and saltine cracker. Good fresh hoppy beer.

4.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20
Pours a medium bodied, gentle yellow with a lil bit of a hazy glow. Has that barnyard funk-yeast typical of good saisons. Grassy hops, lemon pith, fruity traces of mango, white peach and strawberry. Taste is lively, somewhat peppery/zippy. Basement must. Very dry. This would pair phenomenally well with cheese, like a taleggio. Dry hopping gives floral and earthy element. This is well-conceived and nicely executed.

4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
500 ml bottle. Served in a Prairie Teku, the beer pours a hazy gold color with an inch off-white head. Head retention and lacing are both very good. The brew smells like straw, grassy and citrusy hops, yeast, mango, citrus peel, and earthiness. Taste is similar to the aroma, but there’s also some peppery spice, tropical fruit, grainy malt and a bit of peach noticeable. Mouthfeel/body is light/medium, it’s well carbonated and goes down pretty easy. I think it’s a good hoppy saison, another quality Prairie brew! It’s pricey at $10.99 a bottle, but it’s a tasty brew! Definitely worth trying.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle. Pours hazy light orange with a white head. Aroma is very tropical, Belgian yeast, sweet, lots of stone fruit. Taste is very Belgian-like upfront with a strong bitterness in the back. Complex, definitely a Belgian IPA- style. Good.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
bottle @ Wino’s Depot / Bowling Green KY --- Clear straw amber color with a huge bubbly white head that slowly shrinks to a heavy head cover, thick waves of lace. Taste is wheaty malt that grows significantly in the palate, adding fresh fruit that quickly turns to the bitter side in a dwindling finish. A fresh, spritzy brew that doesn’t seem like a Belgian Ale, but, it works anyway on its own terms.

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Bottle. Pours a hazy tannish color with a moderate off white head on there. Nose is fresh and citrusy with just a little bit of the Belgian yeast to it. Taste is light and fresh and slightly bitter. Super tasty and nice to drink.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle from the Syb Pig in Boca Raton. Shared with Dani and Brian. Poured into small snifters...yellow gold with some haze and a big head. Good lacing. Aroma is fruity with mango and apricots, fresh pine hoppiness, grass, cereal. The taste is similar with a nice almost sweet fruitiness coupled with a pine hoppiness. Well balanced. Overall a very light body, refreshing to drink. Slight bitter finish. Moderate carb. Nice beer.
