Pours pitch black with a tan head. Aroma has notes of roasted malt, chocolate, vanilla, oak, coffee, alcohol and hint of citrus sourness. Taste is medium sweet and light to medium bitter with a long roasted, chocolate, coffee and hint of sourish finish. Body is full, texture is oily, carbonation is soft.

Bottle, 12oz. A jetblack beer with a dense, finger-thick light tan head. The aroma has a touch of bourbon and boozyness, with lots of roasted malts and a good dash of coffee and chocolate. It’s full-bodied and silky on the palate, with a lovely carbonation level. Some sourish, almost acidic notes in the flavor, which is mostly coffee, roasted malts and dark chocolate. Bourbon too, no vanilla. Lasting finish. A quite wonderful one, but a bit too boozy. 141025

Poured a dark brown color with aromas of oatmeal, wood, caramel, roast, and whiskey. Flavors follow suit solid barrel aged beer that is easy to drink.

"Very solid stout and the barreling is done very very well, as to compliment the beer instead of overshadowing it. Had all the flavor, but none of the heat, of a 9% beer. Roasted malt, chocolate, light coffee, bourbon. Pretty damn good..."

Malty stout smell. Low to medium carbonation. Stouty taste with mild roast and mild dark chocolate.

Poured from bottle to glass. Dark opaque hue with a creamy tan head that dissipated to a ring. Aroma is chocolate, oak, coffee, roast, vanilla. Mouthfeel is nice with a full body and creamy carbonation. Taste is dry sweetness initially with an astringent bitterness in the following and an oak tannin finish. Overall this is a nice brew.
