COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Prairie Noir is our bourbon barrel aged imperial oatmeal stout. We brew this beer with a huge amount of oats to give it an ever so silky mouth feel. Notes of coffee, chocolate, and toasted marshmallow can be found in the flavor and aroma of this beer. Notes of whiskey and carmel are also packed into this beer.

Jack is back tasting at Bruce’s. Jack is back and brought this with him. Thanks Jack. Opaque dark brown beer, decent tan head. Palate is softish and airy, slightly dry with fine carbonation. Smooth airy dark malt. Brett and dark fruits. Little malt roast in the finish. Not bad.

Bottle shared by Phil. Black pour with a nice tan head. Nose is a little boozy and heavy on the soy sauce. Whiskey, oak, and roasted malt aromas. Some hints of smoke, fudge, vanilla, and coconut, too. The flavor is quite nice. Plenty of whiskey, coconut, and chocolate covered banana. Fudge, hints of smoke, vanilla, roast, and a touch of coffee.

Bottle shared in London - thanks, Jack. Pours clearish brown with a frothy tan head. The aroma has some tangy dark berries, a bit of cocoa. Medium sweet flavor with chalky cocoa, earthy bitterness, some tobacco, faint tangy dark fruits, slight basement. Medium bodied with fine carbonation. Moderate sweetness to finish, more dry cocoa, burnt earth bitterness. Eh. So so.

Bottle at Foeder Teaser Tasting. Extra from a trade with stawn. Roasted chocolate aroma, leather, cocoa, hay, licorice, oaky, vanilla, caramel, toffee, tar notes. Roasted coffee and peat flavor, dark chocolate, licorice, creamy, leather, floral notes, tobacco, ash notes. Heavy beer, full bodied with a nice chocolate, vanilla and tobacco aroma.

750 ml bottle poured a clear dark reddish brown with a lingering ring of brown foam. Aromas of roasted malt, dark chocolate and light bourbon. Palate was medium bodied and smooth with a dry finish. Flavors of roasted malt, bitter chocolate, light bourbon and light oak with a smooth dry linmgerting roasty chocolate finish.

Bottle at The Festival. Pours opaque black with a medium, frothy tan head, short retention with good lacing. Aroma is chocolate and roast malt, coffee, vanilla, whiskey and dark fruits. Flavor is sweet dark malt and fruits with light hops and bitterness and a dry finish. Full body and medium carbonation.

Hella good. Big rich dark brown pour, brown head. Aroma of bourbon soaked brownies! Lots of rich chocolate flavor, vanilla, toffee, coconut, toasted oak, tar. Damn freaking good!
