12 oz bottle. Black pour with tan head. Sweet malt, some tart aromas. Roasted and chocolate with tart fruit flavors(slight infection?). Nice.

"Very solid stout and the barreling is done very very well, as to compliment the beer instead of overshadowing it. Had all the flavor, but none of the heat, of a 9% beer. Roasted malt, chocolate, light coffee, bourbon. Pretty damn good..."

Salmoniform (652) - Sweet Home, Oregon, USA - AUG 11, 2014
Poured from bottle to glass. Dark opaque hue with a creamy tan head that dissipated to a ring. Aroma is chocolate, oak, coffee, roast, vanilla. Mouthfeel is nice with a full body and creamy carbonation. Taste is dry sweetness initially with an astringent bitterness in the following and an oak tannin finish. Overall this is a nice brew.

Pours black with a bit of tan head. Nose is roast, woody, booze, cereal grains. Taste is tons of cereal grains, oats, wood, bakers chocolate, hint of coffee. Mouthfeel on the thin side for a big stout, alcohol hidden well. Overall it's good, lots of oatmeal and drinkable, but not blowing my mind or anything. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Rated from notes taken on 1 Jun 2014 -- Did a side-by-side tasting of Regular, Coffee, and Vanilla Noirs. This is an awesome brew. Very hard to decide between this and the Coffee as my second favorite. The vanilla is better by a hair.
