A collaboration between Prairie and Bob Sylvester from Saint Somewhere Brewing in Tarpon Springs, Florida.
Prairie Somewhere is a blend of a golden farmhouse ale and a sour ale. Citrus fruit is used in the kettle to add intense orange and lime notes.

A 16.9 fl oz (500ml) bottle with a Julian bottled on date of 10615, meaning it was bottled on 16th April 2015. It was poured into a Duvel tulip glass. It poured a cloudy copper dark orange colour with a one finger off white head that dissipates fairly quickly. Not much lacing. Aromas are tart, funky, barnyard, apple and lime. Taste is full of sour tartness, lemon juice, orange and a strong lime finish. Medium bodied with high carbonation. Overall, this sour saison style is right up my alley and Prairie Somewhere ticks all the right boxes for me. Very enjoyable and something that I will be looking to get more of if possible. Love the bottle art as well!

Bue en bouteille de 50cl. Blonde, effervescence moyenne.

Pours aaa .....whoooooooaaaaaaa ’ssfshhhshshshhshshhhhhhhh’ beer gushed everywhere.....hazy dark golden with not head that lasts more than 5 seconds. Romas of sour fig, slight metal, grass, orange peel, lemon grass. Flavs of slight orange peel, faded lime, hay. Medium sour. Not to complex.

Like its deScription states, Saint Somewhere falls, er, somewhere between a Sour and Saison (seemed to be a theme for beers this weekend). The profile is funky, citrusy, bready, earthy, acidic, and sour. Neither intensely tropical from the added fruit nor hugely yeasty from the Brett. Balance fits right in the middle. It’s polarizing and gorgeously executed in the way that only great Sour/Saison ales are.

500 ml bottle shared, purchased at John’s Grocery. Golden amber appearance with a smaller white head. Mildly sour, zesty, fruity, funky and refreshing. Pretty tasty overall.

Bottle. A- Tart, funky, citrus, vinegar. A- Orange color, hazy liquid, white head. T- Funk, brett, tart, oranges. P- Light body, average texture, average carbonation, tart finish. O- Funky was the theme of this beer but not crazily so. It wasn’t loaded down with brett and maintained a pleasurable sour taste throughout.

Nice looking beer, large head, orange body, sparkling clarity. Aroma is apples, funk, lemon, fish (yes, kinda fish), peaches, earth barnyard, flowers. Some cider kinda notes with wood undertones. Medium body, watery texture. Very balanced, very complex, awesome saison.

Bottle. Cotteridge. Hazy, pale gold. Film of lasting, white head. Nose has a lovely, funky, vanilla and lemon cheesecake thing going on. Some sweet grain. Taste is lemon pith tart. Goaty sourness. Love a sour goat, me. Anyhow, it’s tart and crisp, and cheesy. Nice hoppage. Clean and tart. Super drinkable.
