Prairie Somewhere is a blend of golden farmhouse ale and a sour ale. Citrus fruit is used in the kettle to add intense orange and lime notes.

Taste is dry fruity yeast, champagne, dusty attic, lacto, yogurt, grain. Finish is dry fluffy tart lemon, citrus, yeast spice. Tastes like "Prairie Ale" with lacto. Good.

Rated from notes taken on 1 Jun 2014 -- With this beers description it was a little underwhelming. However it is still a pretty good brew. A novice Sour-drinkerís entry into the world of Sourís perhaps.

Mostly clear, slightly clouded light amber and copper coloured body with a very thin, single centimetre tall just off-white head. Aroma of sour grapes, yeast, malt and a huge note of gueuze - a great smell indeed, from America itself and especially from Oklahoma! Light-bodied; Sharp taste of sour grapes and yeast at first with a little residual lactic flavours and a hint of unfinished malt coupled with some bitterness and alcohol that doesnít go easy. Aftertaste is quite bitter from metal, yeast, but especially the grain and pungent unsoured notes. Overall, the sour portion goes down very easily and smells great, but unfortunately the malty portions are a thorn in the side of this beer and donít go easy, plus leave the palate bitter and funky. I love Oklahoma and I wish I could get behind this beer on íhypeí alone, but it has many flaws. Itís fine to sample, but donít spend a lot of money on this - there are much better - defined options for this style than this one. I sampled this 50 cL tall bottle purchased from Whip-In in Austin, Texas on 05-May-2014 for US$9.99 sampled at home in Washington on 11-July-2014 in celebration of quitting my job!

Bottle, 50cl. A slow gusher, producing a lightly hazy, dark golden body and a finger-thick, dense, white head. The aroma has grapefruits, lemon peel, some pine cones and a faint malty touch, quite a lot of brett going on. Leather, farmhouse notes, even more grapefruit. All a bit weak. The flavor is pretty much the same, with a nice bitterness added, and itís more on the hoppy side. Medium body, quite effervescent and dry. Lasting finish with funk and lots of pink grapefruit. Perhaps a bit one-dimensional, but itís damn nice. Too carbonated though. Tasteful and quenching. 140623

Pours gold fizzy big head. Smell is light funk, tart sour yeast lemon and pale malt as it warms. Taste is lightly funky, slightly tart, some lemony notes and some pale malt flavor. a bit fizzy, foamy and overcarbonated. Interesting. Like a poor manís beatification. Admittedly not my preferred style but their stouts are so amazing, that I wanted to give it a shot. Pretty good if you like the style Iíd think.

I can dig it... a beer for somewhere, or anywhere. Pours a cloudy yellow, fluffy white head. Aroma is barnyard funk, citrus, tropical fruits, yeast. Taste is lightly tart, but not overpoweringly sour.. very drinkable, crisp lemon throughout. Would love to drink this again somewhere sometime.
