Bottle. Tasty saison with sour, citrus, light funk and oak. Some cereal too. Hops kept in check but not hidden. Really nice, complex but easy.

Bottle. pour is hazy light yellow with small white head. Aroma is tart and earthy with hints of lemon. Flavor is lemony with hints of hay, light funk, and barnyard. Very sessionable and clean flavor. Great beer. Could drink for hours.

Pours a slightly hazy straw color with a quickly dissipating white head with minimal lacing. Aroma of musty white grapes and grain with some oak and light fruit. Taste is somewhat tart at first with lemon, apricot and light fruit. Some musty and oaky flavors creep in and overcome the tartness. That gives way to cracker malt and a mild earthy character. Finishers very dry. Mouthfeel feels somewhat crisp from the acidity with a medium body and med/high carbonation. Refreshing and easy drinking. A good warm weather drinker. Another winner from Prairie.

UPDATED: APR 2, 2014 Pours a hazy yellow straw color with minimal carbonation, very minor foam ring that hugged my glass. The aroma has an oak, hay grains, mild funky sour scent, with lemon and yeast like aromas. The flavor has a lemon taste with medium levels of grains and a soft bitterness. It had a defined but light sour funk qualities. Overall a very enjoyable and drinkable beverage.

Bottle. Pale yellow, with a slight haze, and a white head. Grain, sweet bubble gum, lemon tartness, a bit sour, hay, yeast, light funk, oak, and a bit of banana. Interesting beer, partially sour saison.

Bottle. Hazy golden poi with limited white head. Super in your face tart fruit, Brett, lacto, wine and oak aromas. Flavor has oak, wine and funkiness with a slim flavor profile of saison leftover, very funky, I like it.

Bottle shared with Slander at Torst. Pours a deep murky, hazed golden body with thick white lacing. Aroma is tart lemon funk and light mineral character. Nose is absolutely awesome. Mouthfeel is medium with nice lively carbonation on the palate and notes of lemon, funk, light farmhouse character, sourdough, tart citrus fruits and Nelson dankness. Incredible saison - hill farmstead caliber.

Bottle, thanks to Secret Santa (and independently drfabulous). Pours mostly clear (just a smidge of haze) straw colored with steady stream of bubbles rising to the top but absolutely no head. Aroma is sweet and funky. Some bubblegum in the background, lots of oaky sweet tarts. Smells more like a sour than a saison, but these folks have tricked me before. Taste: lightly sweet up front; fruity feety funk; dry finish. Slick and oily. Alcohol present in the taste; thin, watery body with light carbonation. Sweetened cereal grains in the finish. An odd, synthetic plastic flavor comes through over time -- almost a little smoky. Overall: this was sort of an inconsistent experience across the different facets outlined above. The aroma is amazing, the taste okay, the palate a bit thin. Looking forward to revisiting this one, though, to see how consistent it is across bottles. Edit: Second pour from the bottle (leaving at least 4 oz in the bottle) full of yeast and gunk. Second glass looks pretty gross, but at least the mouthfeel is a little fuller? No real impact on the overall score, but wanted to note it anyway.

Superbly cloudy straw yellow with eighth inch white head. Strong floral hops in the aroma, some subtle rubber or cork too. Average carbonation, dry finish. rye-ish sour, some straw and saison-y wheat, very lemony, sour fruits: apple, cranberry, pine hops too. Not the best from prairie.
