Really dislike initial barnyard funk yeast aroma, initial taste is strong lemon citrus over hay and grass. Not off putting, but, in my case, not pleasant enough to counteract the initial crotch-rot cheese lactic odor. Fairly highly rated, just not my bag baby. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

750 ml caged and corked bottle, 2013 printed on cork. Served in a tulip, the beer pours a cloudy gold color with about a half inch white head. Head retention and lacing are both decent enough. Aroma is nice and tart, it smells like lemon peel, funk, sour citrus fruits, hay and some bready/grainy malt. It tastes like sour citrus, peppery spice, lemon peel, green apples, oak, grain, hay and some peaches. Itís a good tart, fruity tasting brew. Mouthfeel/body is light/medium, itís a bit slick and has moderate carbonation. I like this, although at $14.99 a bottle Iím not sure if Iíd buy it again at that price. With that being said, itís definitely worth a try.

Bottle @ home with StalinCat, LeninCat, and jcnielsen. Pours a milky light yellow orange appearance with a white head. Big tropical fruity, mango, pineapple, fairly oaky, tart lemon aroma that really reminds me of Crooked Stave St. Bretta. Pretty tart, lemon, tangerine, mango, fairly strong vanilla oaky flavor that pretty dry and woody. Fun to chug.

Yeast funk hits you right out of the bottle. Citrusy, barnyard, lacto aroma. A slight tartness like a not-quite-sour, sour. A very interesting, complex saison. I would never guess this came from Oklahoma.

Pours a light hazy gold with no head. Aroma of funk, oak, Brett and citrus. Taste is funky, citrus, lemon and grapefruit, oak, Brett, slight lacto tartness. Very nice, funky and delicious. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle. Pours a very cloudy straw with quickly settling white head, no lacing. Aroma is tart, lactic, oaky, yeasty, funky, barnyard. Flavor is fruity up front, apricot, yeast, with a tart, oaky finish. Very oaky, fruity and tart. Moderate carbonation, medium-light body, and a mildly dry finish. A very tart, fruity saison, very good.

Corked bottle and served in tulip: Pours a hazy golden hue with a fading frothy head and spotty lace. The aroma has initial notes of tropical fruits, sour lemons, barnyard funk and light oak. There is a slightly off putting sulfur note as well making me wonder about the fermentation temperatures. The fruity notes do give way to a more standard Saison character and those funky wild yeast making this like a young Lambic with some juicy IPA added in. The finish is mouth watering and lightly tannic. I do wish the grain bill would be more pronounced and cleaner as well the sulfur notes reduces my enjoyment. Still this beer has more positives than negatives and I would like to try again with more age on it.
