Half liter (I think?) bottle from Beer Trappe, Lexington. Pours a slightly hazy pale straw color with a thin fizzy white head. Fair head retention. Aroma of stone fruit, spice, pepper, berries, citrus, mild oak. The taste is tart berries, stone fruits, citrus, spice, herbal and grassy notes, mild oak and a hint of marzipan. Medium bodied, mild lingering tartness. Nice.

Bottle, cheers to Drake for the rake. The pour’s gold with a tight white head. Loads of mandarin orange and lemon cake on the nose. Has that tart ’American Saison’ thing going on. Frankly, you could probably argue that American Saison is a more legitimate beer style than Session IPA. Mellow buggy woody character. More tart orange. Pretty dry. Medium body, soft carbonation. Pretty good.

BOSSbrewer (1497) - Arkansas, USA - APR 24, 2014
Bottle with the guys at porch nite. Pours a hazy golden yellow with two fingers of fluffy white head. Aroma is lemony citrus yeasty and grassy. Flavor follows. Slight tang. Very citrusy. Earthy notes. Light bodied and very carbonated. Very nice beer.

BMMillsy (1272) - Florida, USA - APR 20, 2014
Bottle from Tipples. Pours cloudy yellow with a big bubbly white head on top. Bretty funky tart aroma, lemon peels, dry dusty oakiness, funky yeast. Nice. Flavor is dry oaky Brett, yeast funk, some pineapple notes, apricot, a bit of tart citrus peel. Some juiciness and dryness, sweet and bitter. Light to medium bodied, medium plus plus carbonation, very crisp finish. These guys really kill it with their funky farmhouse brews. Good stuff!

Bottle. Tasty saison with sour, citrus, light funk and oak. Some cereal too. Hops kept in check but not hidden. Really nice, complex but easy.

Pours a slightly hazy straw color with a quickly dissipating white head with minimal lacing. Aroma of musty white grapes and grain with some oak and light fruit. Taste is somewhat tart at first with lemon, apricot and light fruit. Some musty and oaky flavors creep in and overcome the tartness. That gives way to cracker malt and a mild earthy character. Finishers very dry. Mouthfeel feels somewhat crisp from the acidity with a medium body and med/high carbonation. Refreshing and easy drinking. A good warm weather drinker. Another winner from Prairie.
