Bottle. Pale yellow, with a slight haze, and a white head. Grain, sweet bubble gum, lemon tartness, a bit sour, hay, yeast, light funk, oak, and a bit of banana. Interesting beer, partially sour saison.

Bottle. Hazy golden poi with limited white head. Super in your face tart fruit, Brett, lacto, wine and oak aromas. Flavor has oak, wine and funkiness with a slim flavor profile of saison leftover, very funky, I like it.

Bottle shared with Slander at Torst. Pours a deep murky, hazed golden body with thick white lacing. Aroma is tart lemon funk and light mineral character. Nose is absolutely awesome. Mouthfeel is medium with nice lively carbonation on the palate and notes of lemon, funk, light farmhouse character, sourdough, tart citrus fruits and Nelson dankness. Incredible saison - hill farmstead caliber.

Bottle, thanks to Secret Santa (and independently drfabulous). Pours mostly clear (just a smidge of haze) straw colored with steady stream of bubbles rising to the top but absolutely no head. Aroma is sweet and funky. Some bubblegum in the background, lots of oaky sweet tarts. Smells more like a sour than a saison, but these folks have tricked me before. Taste: lightly sweet up front; fruity feety funk; dry finish. Slick and oily. Alcohol present in the taste; thin, watery body with light carbonation. Sweetened cereal grains in the finish. An odd, synthetic plastic flavor comes through over time -- almost a little smoky. Overall: this was sort of an inconsistent experience across the different facets outlined above. The aroma is amazing, the taste okay, the palate a bit thin. Looking forward to revisiting this one, though, to see how consistent it is across bottles. Edit: Second pour from the bottle (leaving at least 4 oz in the bottle) full of yeast and gunk. Second glass looks pretty gross, but at least the mouthfeel is a little fuller? No real impact on the overall score, but wanted to note it anyway.

Superbly cloudy straw yellow with eighth inch white head. Strong floral hops in the aroma, some subtle rubber or cork too. Average carbonation, dry finish. rye-ish sour, some straw and saison-y wheat, very lemony, sour fruits: apple, cranberry, pine hops too. Not the best from prairie.

Cloudy golden appearance, light fruit scent. Taste is pretty light and crisp, tart lemon citrus, apple and mild yeast. Pretty decent.

P: Light golden haze with a head that goes awya quick. S: Oak, limes, lacto, hay and banyard funk. It carries a funky smell. T: Limes, has a light floral hop character, pale malt, some good earthy brett, a bit of lacto/cereal character that hangs in the middle and it finally ends with some more limes. M: Moderate carbonation and found this one to be rather sticky. O: Tasty saison but not the best I had from these guys.

From the bottle (sat on this for about 6 months): Off-white foam with a pink-ish tone climbed up and out of the neck. The brew is cloudy golden yellow, but a gentle pour resulted in just a few, quick bubbles. It smells of lemon, orange, barnyard funk, some resinous notes and booze. The flavor is the same, sour and funky Belgian. The carbonation is crisp enough, with a soft, slightly creamy mouthfeel. Pretty awesome, intense.

polomagnifico (1202) - Saginaw, Michigan, USA - MAR 8, 2014
Bottle. Aroma has notes of citrus, white wine, oak, pepper, spice and cereal malts. Cloudy light straw hue with an average foamy white head that fully diminished and left no lace. Flavor is heavy sweet and tart. Palate is medium bodied and watery with average carbonation. Overall a nice spicy tart and peppery Saison.

Bottle. Pours cloudy straw color with a massive thick white head. Smells of citrus, wine barrel and subtle vinegar. Taste is slightly tart with citric acidity and a hint of white pepper. Finish is tart and dry. Nice. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
