COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A collaboration between Prairie and Bob Sylvester from Saint Somewhere Brewing in Tarpon Springs, Florida.
Prairie Somewhere is a blend of a golden farmhouse ale and a sour ale. Citrus fruit is used in the kettle to add intense orange and lime notes.

Bottle. Moderate grain and straw for the malt, heavy grass and lemon peel for the hops, Heavy barnyard for the yeast with sour cherry, ginger and a hint of vinegar. Head is huge, frothy, slightly off-white with no lacing and is fully diminishing. Color is murky dark amber/orange. Flavor starts slightly sweet and heavily acidic, then finishes moderately acidic and bitter and a bit sour. Palate is medium, slick with a flat to soft carbonation and a metallic and tart finish. Big eruption when I opened this fella, but beyond that it’s a very tasty Saison.

Yellow pour from draft at Pazzo. White head. Tart and lemon aroma. Sweet lemon and grassy taste, a little tart. Not bad.

Aroma: Sour floral, spicy/cedary hop. Flavor: Sour lemon, grapefruit, and apple attack which quickly expands into a blend of tart stone fruit (apricot) that then returns to a grapefruit flavor. Comment: Fairly good.

Good flavors with nice tartness and citrusy sweetness but the fact that I lost half the bottle to gushing leaves me a little miffed.

This was poured into a tulip. The appearance was a nice looking hazy light brown colored body with a one fingered white foamy head that dissipated within less than twenty seconds. Lacing, haha, there was no lacing, whatsoever. The smell started off with a nice grassy sweet/lemon fervor leading into a nice sweet and somewhat peppery/and almost yeasty kind of off-funky to slightly sweet and tart (sour? do I go that far?), nice aroma. The taste rides the sweet into the sour nicely and allows the tart effect of the funky/somewhat rustic blend of citrus bleeding into a sweet mellow flavor of bitter orange rind and a nice dry bitter orange rind-like aftertaste and finish. On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a semi-decent sessionability about it. Carbonation leads nicely with a nice refined sessionable aspect to it. Overall, saison, yeah, well, it definitely hits the marks for the style, though I didn’t get the lime, I’m mostly okay with that and will still recommend.

A very well balanced farmyard ale, touch of funk on the nose, and a light spice aroma. Taste is slightly sour, with a spice finish. All very refined

On tap at Nedre Foss Gĺrd, august 1st 2015. Cloudy golden body with a small white head. Aroma of lime, kiwi and barnyard funk, slightly acidic in taste with a medicinal funk taste. Dry refreshing tart finish.
