3.4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 drewbeerme (3645) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - MAY 22, 2013
Draft. Pours clear gold with white head. Aroma has a fair dose of dry hop character, lemon lime, floral, with big spicy phenolic notes. Pretty fun motueka aroma that works with the yeast. Flavors are overly spicy, rather phenolic, lime, white pepper, very dry and bitter finish. It’s too bitter for how attenuated it is, a spicy and bitter dry finish is harsh on the palate and the overattenuation leaves a metalic note throughout the process. Some simple tweaking is needed.
4.4 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 20/20 GODFROMANAL (12) - Illinois, USA - MAY 21, 2013
Currently? I’m drinking from the bottle. *BUT*, when I decanted this earlier…IIRC…it looked like…hmm…nothing that special…? Bottle appearance though? Design is waaay too twee. Like janky ass Wes Anderson (problem with all Prairie labels, I should say). The labeling job’s high quality, though. Definite bonus points. Smell is bright, earthy, peppery, limeade, some distant flowers. Taste definitely follows, with stronger limeade - packs a nice drying hop-presence. A uniquely beautiful Motueka utilization. Could crush this shit ∞. 20/20 = 1) A terrific saison @ $14.99/6-pack, 2) 5.2% ABV, 3) "If Kuhnhenn had brewed it I’d give it a 20/20…" I think it’s Fluffer-esque crushable. YEAH. Summer 2K13 = crushing this by the case

12oz bottle in a tulip. Pours cloudy golden with a lacy, off-white head. Aroma of light floral hops, light fruits, a little spice, and some pale malts. Flavor the same with a nice blend of everything. Average texture. Not a bad beer at all.
4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 15/20 bytemesis (1413) - Sunnyvale, California, USA - MAY 18, 2013
Bottle. Pours clear butterscotch with a medium off-white head that dissipates slowly with nice lacing. Aroma is light citrus - lemon lime, yeast, honey, biscuit. Flavor is about the same, definite lemon-lime and yeast flavors, over a bready malt. Sweetness is quite light, finish is dry, just a bit of bitterness. Light body, prickly carbonation. Extremely refreshing beer and a damn nice saison.

Poured from a 12 ounce bottle thanks to lukaduke. Pours a translucent copper with a big, fluffy white head of foam. The aroma has grainy, wheaty notes and a grassy hop profile. Sort of tastes like bready honey. Dry finish. Fizzy mouthfeel. Nice.

Bottle. Musty lemon/orange malt and hay aroma. Hazy golden yellow with small head. Musty/dry lemon/lime, malt and mildly bitter herbal flavor. Very nice.

For something called a hoppy farmhouse ale, it's not very hoppy. Alright beer, pretty bland in my opinion.

Wheaty citrusy almost sour bright aroma. The color is light golden with a heff cloud to it. White frothy head, like an incredibly dry cap foam. Tang start but leveled out to an almost earthy aftertaste which was quite unexpected. Damn, that’s a great balance! I think I gonna eat this with my pastrami sandwich.
3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 Scipio (490) - Palatine, Illinois, USA - MAY 13, 2013
Pours a slightly carbonated looking golden with a white head. Aroma has a grassy presence to it. Some slight spicy bubble gum impressions, lemon, apple, honey, and some yeast. It is well balanced without anything in the nose that dominates. The taste has healthy amounts of spics and yeast. Lots of lemon as well. As opposed to the aroma, the taste is much more simple, which I think really works for this one. Spicy aftertaste. Light to medium in body, with both a texture and carbonation being fizzy. The only drawback I can find is that it doesn’t pack much of a punch. But this is a solid beer.
3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 Steve_0 (1264) - Denver, Colorado, USA - MAY 10, 2013
Bottle at home. Pour is slightly hazy, golden-orange with a big white head and great lacing. Grassy, straw, biscuity, somewhat spicy, white pepper, phenolic, citrusy, hoppy, grapefruit, and bready aroma. Taste is grassy, peppery, clove, grapefruity, biscuity, somewhat fruity, orange, and resinous with a lightly spicy finish. Medium body with soft carbonation. Really tasty saison and a real treat that this one is available in six packs.
