Prairie Standard is our everyday beer. Its a light, crisp saison with a hoppy finish. This beer is dry hopped 1lb per bbl with Motueka hops. A lovely New Zealand hop with a spicy lime like flavor and aroma.

Bottle. Moderate hay and grain for the malt, heavy green grass, herbs and a bit of perfume, moderate dried leaves for the yeast, with a hint of pepper in the background. Head is huge, frothy/fizzy turning rocky, white with thick and slippery lacing, and is fully lasting. Color is slightly hazy yet sparkling pale yellow. Flvor starts moderately to heavily acidic and sour, then finishes moderately acidic and lightly bitter. Palate is light to medium, watery, with a fizzy carbonation and a tart finish. An okay Saison, I expected more by the way it was raved about from where I bought it.

Sampled on draught at the Horseshoe in Hampstead. I initially sent this back, as I thought that I had been served the wrong beer. It was incredibly pale yellow, almost white, and I was expecting something more golden in colour. the barman went to the cellar and checked that the correct barrel was connected. So I guess the beer from this batch is just much, much paler than advertised. It has a good white head, pleasant lemony aromas and an intriguing taste. There is lemon (from the yeast?) and flavours of lime and grapefruit. There also a slight sourness, giving a hint of the barnyard, and a slight bitterness. An interesting a highly drinkable beer.

Tap at Capitol Beer in Sacramento, CA. Pours pale yellow gold with a white head. Aroma seems citrus with funk hints. Med body or nearly. Flavor is yeast, earth and arguably citrus. Very light hints of barnyard. Good saison. Excellent, even.

Smells like bitter beer, hops, and tropical fruit. Taste is pretty much the same. High sharp carbonation with a good amount of foam.

Sample at Daily Growler UA. The beer pours a slightly hazy golden color with a medium fluffy ivory white head that dissipates steadily to an outer ring. Strings of lacing on the glass. The aroma consists of tropical fruit, grassy hops and malt. Light to medium body with flavors of herbal hops, slightly funky fruit and biscuit malt. The finish is fruity with a grassy hops aftertaste. Pretty good overall.
