Prairie Standard is our everyday beer. Its a light, crisp saison with a hoppy finish. This beer is dry hopped 1lb per bbl with Motueka hops. A lovely New Zealand hop with a spicy lime like flavor and aroma.

Bottle to glass, very hazy yellow with small head, vanishes quickly, mild lacing. At first the aroma is overpowering yeast / skunk but the objectionable character of it subsides quickly. After that, it is a lighter refreshing experience with lemony grassy yeasty notes. Mixed semi dry finish. Mild peppery. Subtle but noticeable hops. Don’t expect a standard beer experience here.

Small sample from 355 ml bottle, at a 4th of July tasting. Promising and nice farmhouse kitchen / brett aroma, but the flavour was too thin, bland and not very interesting. The Motueka hops did not come through as much as I’d like. Might sample again, but not if I have to pay for the bottle myself.

Bottle at home. Hazy orange pour, bubbly white head. Aroma is light citrus, faint yeast, a bit of funk. Taste is citrus, light grass, a bit of yeast, cracker. High carbonation, light on palate. Good beer.

Bottle. Pours hazy yellow, with a big creamy head receding to a small cap. Aroma is quite spicy hops, with sweet citrusy and grassy notes, and nice woody yeast with fruity farmhouse notes, as well as some roasted malts. Medium body, with soft carbonation. Flavour is dry wooden yeast, with fruity notes of plums and a nice hoppy touch of lime, nectarines and and peppery grass. Lingering tart yeasty finish. Very refreshing and easy drinkable.

Kort.

12 oz. bottle from Green’s Discount. Hazy, pale yellow color, with a medium, foamy, gray head. The nose is musty and earthy, with some lemon zest, honeysuckle, and a touch of grass. Lightly bitter flavor, and surprisingly dry. Light body, grainy, and lightly effervescent. This is a lovely saison, with perfect hopping and a great, dry, and balanced flavor. It was difficult to drink this slowly to do the rating, because it goes down so easily and pleasantly.

Lys med lavt skum. Aroma av sitrus, høy og noe gjær. Smaken er hovedsakelig sitrus, noe malt. Tynn konsistens. Mildt sur og mildt bitter i ettersmaken.
