Prairie Standard is our everyday beer. Its a light, crisp saison with a hoppy finish. This beer is dry hopped 1lb per bbl with Motueka hops. A lovely New Zealand hop with a spicy lime like flavor and aroma.

12oz bottle - a cloudy pour of a peach colored ale with a very thick frothy almost white head. Nice aroma of clove, wheat and mild spice. Similar flavors are also abundant with layers of Belgian yeast, clove, wheat, funk, light bready malt and a hint of lemony citrus.

9/19/16. Draft at Milltown. Poured yellow straw w a minimal head the dissipated quickly. Carbonation holds and creates some sparkle. Light grassy nose. Tastes of lemongrass and a touch of spiciness. Very drinkable. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Fruity, grassy hops in the nose with strong musty yeast notes. Pours pale cloudy yellow with thick white foam that dissipates quickly. Crisp on the tongue, light bodied very active fizz. Phenol yeast comes in the middle quickly followed by grassy hops and a slightly bitter finish. The spices are a little fain, but clove and some pepper are there. The hops have a lemony touch to them as well. A good hybrid that leans toward the hoppy side rather than the yeasty.

Where: On tap, The Partisan, Washington DC. How: Pint pour. Appearance: Had a pale yellow color and a cloudy texture. There was a half inch of foamy head that lasted an average amount of time. Very good lacing Aroma: citrus, light tropical fruit, yeast, and spices. Taste: a zesty and spicy Farmhouse style taste with notes of yeast, spices, and citrus fruit. Belgian yeast with notes of clove, pepper, and farmhouse funk Palate: Medium bodied with a medium to high level of carbonation. Juicy, spicy, and drying. Overall: A really good hoppy take on a Saison. Nice blend of citrus hop tones with the Belgian yeast notes.

Bottle. Nose of lemon grass, wheat grass, touch coriander, very spicy, citrus, grass. The lime comes out much more from a full glass. Pour very pale yellow, gradient down to almost clear at the bottom, with above-average carbonation and a large and soapy bright white head. Extremely crisp and refreshing in the mouth, chalky-slimy coating, wheat, hops, lots of citrus (lime) without any pith or peel, lots of aggression even at the back, none of which is characteristic black pepper. Light green pepper (bell/sweet) vegetal notes throughout are very nice. Low bitterness and low-medium sweetness, dries a touch and certainly no threat of cloy. The kind of thing you reach for desperately in the summer, especially for refills. [2016.08.19: 3.8]
