Prairie Standard is our everyday beer. Its a light, crisp saison with a hoppy finish. This beer is dry hopped 1lb per bbl with Motueka hops. A lovely New Zealand hop with a spicy lime like flavor and aroma.

Funky yeast, lemon grass and piney hops... this oneís all over the map. Golden yellow, plenty of fizz. Tastes outright sour, followed by blunt bitter. Body is not crisp, rather it is an initial flush, and then a slow dry out. This is an extreme saison, with element of sour wheat ales.

Tallahassee, Fl - Beer Stop - 12 oz bottle. Hazy light golden pour, fluffy snow white head with a sticky film of lacing. Aroma is pleasant with some saffron-like spiciness, a touch of coriander mintiness. Solid flavor with some light lemon accents, some yeasty notes, some white grape juice and a back end of sweet cake mix. Nice spritz to the mouthfeel. Rather enjoyed this one to be honest.

Cloudy golden yellow. Very little head. Spicy with some tropical fruits. Crisp citrus aroma. Tangy sweet and delicious. Tried for the first time at On the Rocks tasting with Brandon in 2014.

from Erzbierschof - cloudy lactic golden-blond beer with a long lasting foam; cheesy and fruity aroma; a good malt backbone, light sourish; almondy and fruity finish, dry and hoppy with a lingering sourness

Man these guys know how to brew great beer. Pours a dark lemon color with fizzy white head. Really nice citrus and bread aromas. Totally picking up the lime in this. Citrus and yeast flavors with just a hint of warmth on the tongue. Perfectly balanced. Excellent stuff.

12 ounce bottle. Served in a Prairie Teku, the beer pours a hazy dark gold color with about a half inch off-white head. Head retention and lacing are both decent enough. The brew smells like bready malt, peppery spice, citrus, melon and a bit of earthy floralness. It tastes like melon, bananas, bready/grainy malt, honey, peppery spice and some white grape/wine. Mouthfeel/body is light/medium, itís a bit creamy with moderate carbonation. I think this is an OK brew overall and I wonít have any problems finishing the 4-pack, but itís not one of the better Prairie ales Iíve tried. The longer I drank this, the less I liked it. Still, itís worth picking up if youíve never had it before.

On tap at the Craft Beer Cellar in a snifter glass. It poured a clear straw colour with white foam, compact little bubbles and lace. Strong Belgian phenols: pepper, clove, banana, subtle lacto and brett characteristics. Grainy but otherwise neutral maltbill, almost no residual sweetness. Tart and mildly acidic. Light body, spritzy carbonation, dry finish but with a pleasantly spicy aftertaste. Delicious and refreshing.

January 22, 2015. Bottle at home.
Hazy yellow with a small white head. Aroma is hoppy with lemon, lime and a nice subtle funky background with earthy, spicy, barnyard notes. Taste is light to medium sweet with nice barnyard citrus notes and some spices. Finish is citrus pith bitterness. Light bodied, average carbonation. This would be great a hot summer day.

On tap 5 oz. taster at the Escondido Tap House in Escondido, CA. Hazy yellow with a near-white head and excellent lacing. Aroma of lemon, pepper, yeast, lime and tart pineapple. Taste of lemon/lime, pepper, yeast, peach, sour pineapple and toast. Light/medium body and medium carbonation. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Hazy golden color with a large white head that left nice lacing on the glass. Aroma of citrus, lemon, earthy yeast, toast, spices. Taste of citrus, lime, pepper, yeast, toast, and a dry finish. Unfortunately drank this way too fast.

This is an exceptionally fruity hoppy Belgian ale. I am not particularly in love w/ every little last thing about it but it is exceptional regardless and anyone who is into beer should give this a try at some point. Itís a murky orange color w/ just a wisp of a head. Hops hit first in the nose and give a strong impression of orange zest or orange candy perhaps. This is a little sweet which seems to bring out some lavender and apricot. This isnít sour at all but something about it implies Sweet Tarts candy. This is full bodied w/ somewhat prickly carbonation which works fairly well in a Belgian style. It finishes w/ a lingering bit of sweetness, lots of fruit and solid, firm bitterness. I canít quite put my finger on it but something about the hop or yeast character is just a little bit weird and gives it the exaggerated fruitiness I mention earlier. It is not a bad beer but it is maybe just a little bit much.
