Ratebeer Gallery event draft pour: Pale brassy hue with white mixed bubbles. Banana and guava aromas follow in flavor. Also, bubble gum and pepper mid-palate with a spicy finish. Slightly lush mouthfeel dries at finish.

Tap at Capitol Beer in Sacramento, CA. Pours pale yellow gold with a white head. Aroma seems citrus with funk hints. Med body or nearly. Flavor is yeast, earth and arguably citrus. Very light hints of barnyard. Good saison. Excellent, even.

Smells like bitter beer, hops, and tropical fruit. Taste is pretty much the same. High sharp carbonation with a good amount of foam.

Dogbrick (8887) - Columbus, Ohio, USA - FEB 23, 2015
Sample at Daily Growler UA. The beer pours a slightly hazy golden color with a medium fluffy ivory white head that dissipates steadily to an outer ring. Strings of lacing on the glass. The aroma consists of tropical fruit, grassy hops and malt. Light to medium body with flavors of herbal hops, slightly funky fruit and biscuit malt. The finish is fruity with a grassy hops aftertaste. Pretty good overall.

BLADT (657) - Brooklyn, New York, USA - FEB 19, 2015
Bottle from BRKLYN Larder. Pours a dusty matte brown with a quick to diminish white head. Bubblegum nose (carried through to taste) starts things off, imparting mild funk and lemon. Butters up on warming. Medium to light body that plays on the sweeter end of the spectrum without losing its brightness. Key lime pie and orange rind. Light pepper. Flavors work well together. Complex without being difficult. Clings to the gums. Good, but lacks a defining note.

neongolden (644) - Linköping, Sweden/Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - FEB 18, 2015
(On tap @ VilleValla Pub, Linköping, Feb 13 2015) Pours very cloudy medium gold with a huge dense white head of foam. Aroma lime, earthy barnyard, a little sweet wheat malt and orange, sour acid hints, white pepper, floral. Palate is slightly sweet, light tart and mostly dry. Flavour of lime and other citrus rind, a little bit of orange juice, light peppery spice, wheat. Brett funk and earth towards the finish, wet hay, grains, faint hop bitterness. Lightish body with high effervescent carb. Not a hoppy saison in the American farmhouse sense, but the lime Motueka character works really well with the base. Very refreshing and pretty flavourful, it is an excellent everyday beer that would be perfect for summer BBQs.

Funky, slightly sour wit-ty aroma. Squat 12 oz bottle. Very pale blonde, foggy, snow white head. Pleasant, effervescent, zippy, biotic, cookie-ish. Very lightly sweet, citrus pith, spicy. Funk lingers into the sourish finish. Pretty decent. Beer Stop, Tallahassee.

The Sampler, Brooklyn bottle ($3.75): pours holden with almost no head. Aroma is lights hops, some saison funk, spice, and grass. Taste is a bit hoppy with dry finish. Low carbonation. Good, but I was not blown away.
