Tasted on 9/15/13 from a capped 12oz bottle brought to me by a friend that visited Oklahoma. Pours dark orange with a thick off-white head that slowly recedes to average, but messy lace. The nose is a classic blend of bread malt and some resin and citrus hops along with some earthy American ale yeast. The flavor is the same with a bit more resin than anything else, with the lightly toasted bread malt, earthy yeast, and just a hint of citrus. The body is just under medium with lively, stinging carbonation and a long bread malt and lightly bitter resin hops finish.

12oz bottle pours a orange/golden with a slight haze and a large off-white head. Fruity tropical aroma with sweet malt, simple. Taste of mildly fruity hops, light hop bitterness and bready malts. Simple and not unlike many other Pale Ales, good enough.

Good pale ale. Fresh nose. Bready, doughy, lightly toasted malt flavors. Snappy and spicy hop bitterness. Pleasant, herbal aromas. Malty and full up up front; bitter, mineral-like and dry in the finish.

Crisp golden coloured body with a hint of a copper tint and a nice, two centimetre tall off-white head. Aroma of bright citrus and piney hops with a PNW flavour and a noticeable malt flavour coupled with some tropical fruits. Medium-bodied; Crisp bright flavours of the fruits and hops that lace well with the malt and even shows a touch of sugar at the end. Aftertaste shows a very well-balanced beer with noticeable but not overwhelming hops and a smooth malt feel. Overall, a nice APA that shows well, but isn’t amazing nor should go out of the way to sample! I sampled this twelve ounce bottle purchased from Spirits N More in Norman, Oklahoma a few minutes before drinking it while at a tailgate party in Norman, Oklahoma on 13-September-2014 for US$1,99.

Soonerchamps sent me this as part of a Local Beer Swap. Thanks Matt! Pours a murky amber with some thin, creamy, slightly off white head. Nose is solid, malt, orange, mild lemon peel, hints of herbs, cracker, some dried apple. Flavor follows along, well balanced between crackery/gristy malt, orange and mild pine, some dried apple, a little mild caramel. Balanced finish. Reminded me so much of DC Brau The Public. Just a solid, local, APA.

Bottle, extra from Thomas. Grass an hay hops. Earthy malt. Has a wheat taste. Not digging it.

Poured from bottle to glass. Golden hue with thick creamy white head that lingered nicely. Aroma is mango, tangerine, melon, papaya, pineapple, Dragonfruit, slight grass. Mouthfeel is wonderful with medium body and crisp carbonation. Taste is dry sweetness initially with a great hop bitterness in the following and a clean finish. Overall this is a fantastic pale ale!

Poured from bottle into snifter, cloudy gold, light head, soft nose. Good body and subtle flavor but not watery at all. Quite smooth and well balanced, wish Prairie made more brews like this instead of focusing on sours, saisons, and farmhouse so much. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Had this at a share with friends, reviewed from notes: pours a clear golden with fizzy white head. Straw, citrus, and some malt on the nose; follows onto the palate. Finishes with a raw wheat note.

Pours a hazy apricot with a decent eggshell head. Pleasant aroma is malty and fruity but not too sweet. Malty flavor has hoppy, sweet fruity and hay notes. Texture has average viscosity and fizz. Game on!

12oz bottle served in a Dog Fish Head IPA glass A - Pours a hazy/ruddy burnt orange, firm 2 finger head that droops average lacing. S - Earthy yeast, green vegetal hops, green peppers, chives, spicy floral, lemon, not-sweet grapefruit rind, rustic, peppery, generic pale malts. T - Bittering hops upfront, earthy floral, rustic woody hops, lemon oils, spicy herbal notes, bitter grapefruit oils runs strong against pale toasted barley, citrus comes out more as it warms along with some resinous pine. The finish is bitter greens with toasted grassy afterthought. M - Full bodied, hefty feel, moderate whipped/creamy carbonation, I like the different hop profile. Non-typical and complex. Plenty of hops with a rustic yeast pushing back. The more I drink this the more I like it. This is a stand out among it’s class. Serving type: bottle 08-13-2013
