Once again, I want to like Prairie not only because they're literally in my backyard, have amazing artwork, and dish out new brews constantly...but damn it Prairie, please venture out a bit further. It's like you have one saison and one stout that you just vary ingredients or barrels on just enough to market it as a new brew. Give us a pale, white, IPA, red, SOMETHING! ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle shared by krazy lraddel who brought a nice horizontal to the tasting... Thanks man! Typical Prairie deep dark brown with a steady dark brown head. The nose reveals some vanilla, but especially coconut and some solvent/paint. Very potent stout

Bottle thnx to Experiment_ale Pours black, big grey head . Smell is sweet, wine ( the fuck ? ) , oak, tannines ( and here i was thinking it was not barrel aged ) taste also contains a wine-like taste , sweet, grainy, fruity . Bit plastic, but nice . Very good, but I cannot find any vanilla in this one

Tastes a bit strongly of whiskey and that detracts from the flavor. Not much vanilla flavor but nicely balanced. Not something I’d want again or even came close to finishing though.

Bottle thanks to Phillip in OK. Poured black with decent tan head. Aroma of heavy sweet vanilla light choc like baking. Light carb med bod. Pretty bitter choc taste that doesn't match the aroma. Wish it was sweeter and more taste of vanilla.

Rated from notes taken on 1 Jun 2014 -- Did a side-by-side tasting of Regular, Coffee, and Vanilla Noir’s. This is an awesome brew. This gets the edge above the other two. The Vanilla just gives it a little something extra that the others lack. The vanilla melds extremely well with this stout.

Bottle, RBAG 2014 prelim. Hearty near black, similar profile to the regular Noir with a truckload of vanilla sweetness. Not "extracty" , but if you don’t like vanilla, then this probably will not ring your bell.
