3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Pours a beatiful luscious black with a nice medium mocha head. Aroma is ripe molasses, brandys with touches of boozy cognac. Flavor is irish coffee with some semi dark chocolate and an espresso bitter aftertaste. Full palate, silky mouthfeel, a bit boozy. Nice coffee-cacao imperial stout, a tad on the sweet side though.

4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
Bottle from Whole Foods Market in Redwood City, CA. Tastes like a smashed up a coffee, chocolate cookie in a shot of peaty whiskey.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
12 oz bottle kindly given to me by captainahab over at craftbeerkc.com. The pour is an opaque black with a smallish khaki head that falls quick. The aroma is along with roast and some metallic iron notes, Cane sugar as the beer warms. The taste is a strong sweet malt, the cane sugar, dark chocolate, the chili spice and vanilla that lingers. The palate is medium to heavy bodied with lower carbonation and the molasses spice vanilla lingering along with a shot of booze in the finish. Decent integration of alcohol. Overall a solid take on the style. Thanks Chris!

4.3 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20
Omg Iím in love! Pours pitch black w/ the tiniest tan head w/out much lacing. The aroma is pure melted chocolate. The taste is chocolate galore & is absolutely exquisite on the palate. Itís soft yet so robust w/ flavor! Itís like drinking a Hershey bar but better! Absolutely fantastic!

4.7 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 19/20
L: very dark, tiny highlights around the edges. Small tan head.
S: oh man. Delicious big complex aroma. Chocolate slightly stronger than the awesome coffee and vanilla notes. It smells rich and inviting.
T: wham! Nailed it. Flavours all there not overpowering each other, but sitting harmoniously. The vanilla sweetness aligns with the peppers which give a roasted warmth.
F: the body is intense, the alcohol is not in the taste but in the feel, warming the chest and throat.
O: damn. Not only the best imperial stout but maybe the best beer Iíve had the pleasure to drink. Insane.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Smells of chocolate, leather, alcohol and soy sauce. Poured black with little to no head. Thick and astringent palate. Cocoa nibs and the alcohol are the dominating tastes. Good beer but I donít think itís really all itís hyped up to be. I had been hoarding this beer waiting for the right time to drink it but itís not worth waiting to share with anyone.

Deep chocolately opaque brown, minimal tan head. Big lacto sweet notes, light vegetal pepper notes. Quite sweet, light spiciness. Fairly hot, medium chewy body, long aftertaste. Quite good.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Poured from a 12 ounce bottle. The aroma is chocolate, spicy, peppery, coffee. The flavor is less peppery, warming, coffee, chocolate. There is a strong sweetness, sugary. Good beer but I find it to be out of balance. I cannot tell if the pepper notes are only from the peppers or if some of them are from the coffee.

Theres a reason this is called Bomb! This comes off the nose as chocolate, coffee, some spice (floral,), maybe some nuts. The taste is bonkers. It hits everything it says it does. A great beer and definitely worth the price of admission.
