Ughsmash (3077), Waukesha, Wisconsin, USA Mar 7, 2007 On tap at StoutFest... this was one of the stars of the show for me! Poured deep brown with almost 0 head. Aroma picked up heavy tart cherry skins (brewer insisted that no cherries were added, though), darker chocolate, and had an rather mild roast to it. Flavor found rich, fresh, tart cherries throughout along with lightly-roasted chocolate.. beautiful vanilla, bourbon, and oak accents from the barrel treatment... just decadent! Heavier bodied and calculating on the palate.. lower carbonation with a lightly grainy chocolate finish. Excellent brew!
