Ughsmash (2985), Waukesha, Wisconsin, USA May 17, 2007 On tap at Prairie Rock. Poured a clear blood red with absolutely zero head after about 45 seconds. Sweet, candied caramel steals the show on the nose.. not much room for anything else besides a hint of vanilla that wafted through. The flavor was just like the nose.. sweet caramel and candy with a pinch of vanilla.. mild floral bitterness is in there, but doesn’t stand up to the sweetness bomb.. some sharp boozy points peek through for no good reason. Just about medium-bodied and too sweet. Arnie (272), Chicagoland, IL, Illinois, USA Jul 26, 2005 Not a bad red, but nothing memorable. Coppery in color, carmely in nose and flavor. gws57 (988), Saint Charles, Illinois, USA Jun 21, 2005 Had this one on draught in Elgin, Illinois. Your standard everyday red. Quite malty, caramel malts? Not much else going on here. frankenkitty (1789), Oak Lawn, Illinois, USA Jun 20, 2005 Color of Killians, a reddish/dark amber with not much of a cream-colored head. Moderately malted in aroma and flavor, but my palate was somewhat skewed after some lingering chocolate from the beer prior to this one. I will have to try again.

Cornfield (4255), Oak Forest, Illinois, USA Jun 18, 2005 Updated: Jul 4, 2005Brownish copper with a modest fizzy head, this has a caramel malt aroma with an earthy, herbal hopping to it. It’s medium bodied and light on carbonation. The flavor continues quite malty with a dirty hop bitterness on the finish. Acceptable.
