May 17, 2007 On tap at Prairie Rock. Poured a clear blood red with absolutely zero head after about 45 seconds. Sweet, candied caramel steals the show on the nose.. not much room for anything else besides a hint of vanilla that wafted through. The flavor was just like the nose.. sweet caramel and candy with a pinch of vanilla.. mild floral bitterness is in there, but doesn’t stand up to the sweetness bomb.. some sharp boozy points peek through for no good reason. Just about medium-bodied and too sweet.

Jun 20, 2005 Color of Killians, a reddish/dark amber with not much of a cream-colored head. Moderately malted in aroma and flavor, but my palate was somewhat skewed after some lingering chocolate from the beer prior to this one. I will have to try again.

Jun 18, 2005 Updated: Jul 4, 2005Brownish copper with a modest fizzy head, this has a caramel malt aroma with an earthy, herbal hopping to it. It’s medium bodied and light on carbonation. The flavor continues quite malty with a dirty hop bitterness on the finish.
