2.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle. Pours a clear, glowing gold with a high, fine-grained. lacy cream head. Nose is lemon candy and not a whole lot else. Not much sweetness on the tongue, and very light even for a blonde ale -- substance is mostly lacking; if anything, this drinks more like a lager than anything else. As a lager, it would be acceptable; as a saison or blonde ale, it’s a weak offering. Is it decent? Yes. But lemony beer does not a Belgian experience make.

3.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 7/20
Earthy aroma. Hay, yeast, with citrus notes. A hazy golden pour with a robust foamy, mostly lasting, white head and moderate lacing. The taste is lightly bitter. Some fruit notes initially, followed by hay and grain in the middle, with a satisfactory hoppy finish. Medium-light body with crisp carbonation. Crisp dry mouthfeel. Overall, the the taste on this one is quick with a big dry finish and aftertaste. Refreshing by itself or with food.

2.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
33cl Bottle: BBD 29 May 2014. Poured into my huge ’Judas’ glass on 5 Aug 2013 during a Belgian Tasting Evening with myself!
Looked fine in the glass: bright golden body with a large head (you can really pour fast into a Judas glass) of snow white bubbles.
Light nose of yeasts, hop notes and freshly cut grass.
The taste was also light, delicate might be a better word. Hints of flavours rather than ’in your face’ powerful features. Slight citrus feel to the piece, with a mini grain undertone. I found it pleasant enough but it was completely overshadowed by the other Belgian brews I had around it.
In short: a refreshing but weak Belgian offering, start with this, don’t have it mid-session.

3.3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Golden looks, lasting small head. Rich herbal and yeast aroma, belgian to be exact. taste isn’t very expressive though, just medium bitter. Not very dry or developed, which takes away from the good (aromatic) start. (Tilburg Beer Festival)
