Brown/Amber pour with a thin off white head and very light lacing .... Aroma of sweet candi sugar, plums/raisins and caramel malts .. Taste is of raisins, plums and just the right amount of candi sugar, caramel malts with a light roasted earthy flavor .... Has a slight fizzy bite .... Finished mellow with a lingering candy sugar and dark fruit ... Simple and tasty Belgian abv hidden very well. Dangerous drinkable brew ... Not as soft and creamy as a top tier quad but not boozy or overly sweet

Mørk brun noe tåkete med to fingre høyt beige skum. Lukter kaffe, gjær og mørke frukter. Fyldig. Smaker alkohol, urter, kaffe og salt lakris. Lett sødme ligger bak. Middels lang saltbitter smak.

Donkerbruin bier mets chuim.

Bottle (33 cl) from some Internet web shop. Clear chestnut, medium beige head. Nutty, slightly roasted aroma, lear notes of mushrooms, a tad alcoholic. Full bodied, medium to high carbonation. Semi dry, mediumbitterness, a bit salty.

33 cl bottle @ home, BBE 30.09.2016
Aroma has nuts, some coffee, ripe fruits and mild toffee. Flavour has cold coffee, some licorice, ashy tones, minerals and some apricot. Alcohol comes through after some sips. Foamy palate. Too much on the dry side.

Black colored, medium creamy tan head, nice lacing. Aroma is Belgian sugar, bit tart dark fruits and strong Turkish coffee. Taste is medium sweet brewing sugar, some spices and Belgian yeast, dark fruits, roasted malt and loads of coffee. Bittersweet finish, lasting coffee bean aftertaste. Medium to full bodied, carbonation on the soft side. (bottle, ’t Brugs Beertje, Brugge, B)

Aroma: Malt, caramel, dark fruit, brown sugar, licorice. Appearance: Brown/dark brown beer with an off-white head. Taste/Palate: Rather sweet thanks to the dark fruit. Licorice and coffee comes later, but never gets bitter. Palate is okay, but the carbonation is too much for me.
