Rather warming and full bodied in the mouth with an elegant coffee touch. A little coffee liquorice like. Overall rather pleasant.

Beer with a light taste of coffee. The palate is strong, and aftertaste is also there. Nice but heavy beer. One should take time to finish the bottle.

Gout de café pas trop accentué. Arrière goût de liqueur arrive doucement et s’installe longtemps

A hidden gem... I’d never heard of it, and it’s a very good beer. Elegant, well rounded and finished, compact and balanced. A very classic interpretation of a quadrupel. Nice stuff.

Big creamy longlasting head. Aroma is slightly roasted, espresso, fresh hops, leafs, dark malts, grass, burnt caramel. Taste is slightly harsh, grass, alcohol, sour burnt coffee, old leafs, harsh hops, cardboard, minerals, soap. Medium to longlasting bitterness, slightly harsh mouthfeel. Fair enough.

Bottle 375ml. @ The Danish Ratebeer Summer Gathering 2014, TSODRBSG14.

[ As Préaris Quadrocinno ].
Clear medium to dark brown color with a large, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white to light beige head. Aroma is moderate malty, caramel, moderate yeasty, dark dried fruit, some brown sugar - candy alike. Flavour is moderate to heavy sweet with a long duration, sugary malt, brown malt - sugar, residual sugar. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20140830]

Bottle from Capitol Beer in Sacramento, CA. Pours very dark orange/red with a foamy beige head. Aroma of grapey dark fruit. Followed by coffee. Med + body. Flavor is grapey, dark malt, and some coffee. Interesting, but perhaps the coffee is a bit distracting. Really nice in a rather different quadway. :)

Had this at Festibière 2014 in Gembloux. It was served on tap with a special tap where the beer would go through a container of iced coffee beans before ending up in the glass. Dark red color with short tan head, strong coffee flavours, sweet with subtle bitterness, very well balanced. Can hardly feel the 10% ABV. This was great.
