Taster at Mechels bierfestival 2015. Aroma of coffee, fruits, roast, peach. Poured dark with a tan head. Taste had dried fruit, herbs, roasted coffee, brown sugar. Too bad it then had a lot of alcohol taste.

16-04-2016, Delft, Flink gegist Top! Zwaar bier, lekker zoet. Lekker smaak naar koffie, vanille, bruine suiker. Enige jammere is dat het zoete iets te veel overheerst.

dark brown colour, huge, long lasting, dense beige head; aroma of fruits, some herbs, caramel notes, cheese and unroasted coffee beans; taste of dried fruits, burnt sugar, herbal notes and some mildly rosted coffee; not among the best quadrupels, but quite enjoyable

Caramel, sweet, maybe a bit more than it should be. Brown color, full head, served in 0.33 bottle. Espresso feel at the end. A good beer but its brother quadruppel wins the race. I would order it again! Kängaruh Vienna

Bottle courtesy of Deanso. Poured a hazy medium brown with a frothy off white head. The aroma is red berry fruit with a little dry coffee. The flavour is moderate sweet, alcohol bitter with a warm, rich burning alcoholic palate. Medium bodied with average carbonation. The alcohol just destroyed any flavour that this beer is supposed to have. Shame.

Sample at 101 Beer Kitchen. This beer pours a dark ruby-brown color with a medium thick foamy tan head that diminishes steadily to an outer ring. Patchy lacing on the glass. Aroma of dried fruit, yeast, malt and subtle coffee. Full-bodied with flavors of dark fruit, earthy yeast, malt and roast coffee. The coffee character comes out more as it warms. The finish is fruity with a mild coffee aftertaste. Pretty good all around.

Fles, 37,5 cl. Nevelig en hazelnootbruin bier met een bescheiden beige schuimkraag. Gebrande mouten in de neus. In de mond mouten, rietsuiker, koffie, bramen. Smaak is vooral zoet, licht bitter. Zacht, volle body. Lekker.
