3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
A dark brown beer with a medium and beige head. The nose of strong dark fruits and prune, both of them are there also as a fresh mode. Some sweet berries, yeast and bananas, strenght of alcohol. Taste of strong dark fruits, raisins, not heavy, lots of herbs in the end that dries the mouth. Strong taste. Almos full bodied, lightening by high carbonation. Quite simple but also balanced. Good beer.

Bottle@Home. What can I say? Really not my cup of tea. Seems like they tried to copy a classic quadruple but too sweet, too bitter and too thin.

Bottle. Amber, cloudy, average to large and mostly lasting light brown head. Moderate to full, malty and sweetish aroma, some caramel - light bread and light fruitiness - dark fruits, some alcohol. Body is medium to full, malty and sweetish, some caramel and faint fruitiness - dark fruits, some alcohol. Finish is average, malty and sweetish, some caramel and faint fruitiness, light hoppyness, alcohol. Sweet strong ale with lots of (and too much) alcohol. Nice head though.

In Leuven at the ZBF. I have tested the coffee infusion version. Very nice experiment and no other notes spotted unfortunately besides of coffee. I have had the regular version last year and it was really nice, unable to comment now.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Small bottle from ABS drinks. Very dark pour, almost black brown pour with lacy and foamy off white head. Aroma is really roasty, lots of toasted malt, rich caramelized aromas, much roastier and less on the fruity side than most quads. Taste is boozy, rich roasty malts, toasted, burnt caramel sweetness. Palate is full bodied with high carbonation. I found it a tad too bitter for a strong dark belgian, but it was pretty easy drinking.
