Dark reddishbrown pour with an offwhite head. Taste is sweet, candy, dark fruit, roasted malts, raisins and some dark chocolate. Loads of flavour. Bittersweet finish. Nice take on a quad...like!

3.8 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle. Dark red/brown colour with small creamy thick head. Aroma is chocolate, ginger spicy, boozy and roasty. Taste is similar, lots of boozy sweetness, roasty, brown sugar. Booze is there but not ultra in your face. Fruity too, raisins. Nice. Quite thick and smooth. It’s pretty nice but something not quite there.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Deep brown bodied, light head. Medium heavy brown malts, cake dough liek body, with some dark fruit. Warming body, medium bitter bit unbalanced yet I still like drinking this one. They certainly tried hard and the end result is a decent approach but on the brink of swinging out of character. Benefit of the doubt. (Tilburg Beer Festival)

2.4 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20
Head is initially large, frothy, light brown, fully lasting.
Body is medium brown.
Aroma is moderately malty (caramel, milk chocolate), with notes of marshmallow, candy/brown sugar, alcohol, mint.
Flavor is heavily to harshly sweet, lightly acidic, lightly bitter.
Finish is moderately to heavily sweet, lightly acidic, lightly to moderately bitter.
Full body, syrupy texture, lively/soft carbonation, moderately alcoholic.
Ugh...a big, dumb sugar bomb. Syrupy and thick and unrelentingly sweet. Very difficult to drink. In a blind tasting I’d swear The Bruery made this.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
(750ml bottle) cloudy dark brown, creamy lasting soapy head, meringue like. Nose of rich raisin, sweet bread, Belgian yeast, other dark fruits, bready spices. Taste of raisin, alcohol, bit harsh, better as it warms, cola root, the finish and alcohol heat is my least favorite part. Decent quad though.

2.1 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 6/20
Earthy, fruity with a hint of nasty aroma. Pours a murky dark brown with a really thick foamy tan head. Roasted malt and a hint of coffee and cocoa. Dry finish. More like a stout than a quad. Not bad but I won’t be getting any more.
