09.01.13. Bottle. Large, light brown foam. Very dark, clear amber color. Aroma of some coffee and caramel, chocolate, buttery, sweet, maybe some cinnamon. Overall nice aroma. Taste is bitter, some coffee, alcohol. Smooth mouthfeel, pretty long bitter aftertaste.

Overall, nice aroma but otherwise average. I was told this is noticeably different from the original beer the competition winner submitted and won with.

Dark brown, thick light beige froth. Fruity, malty aroma, some chocolate notes. Flavour has dried fruit, malt, light chocolate notes and booze. Fluffy, creamy mouthfeel. Alcoholic finish. Decent, but rather onedimensional.

Hazy but dark brown and with a firm beige head. Nose is slightly malty, bready and even a little sweet. Taste is fruityness of malts and spicy notes. Ripe berries and some heat from alcohol is present. Palate medium lasting with some bitterness and also accompanied with alcoholic sweetness.

Sweet, malty yeast, and caramel notes, full body brown with a note of red color. Caramel on the taste again, cake melting on a tongue. Long lasting, very nice beer. I didn’t expect this.

UPDATED: MAR 17, 2016 Es una buena cerveza, con sabor complejo. Se nota el gas. Cuerpo medio. Lleva azúcar. Para mi gusto, echarle azúcar es trampear la cerveza.

Refrigerated 75 cl brown 2014 bottle poured into a tulip. Opaque dark brown with big beige head. Aroma is dark malt, medium/thicker body, medium carbonation, and some lacing. Taste is dark malt with hints of alcohol. Hoped for more dark fruit.

Dark brown bearly see through color with large head. Smell of butter caramel with a slight hint of sitrus. Taste of coffee and with a slight hint of caramel. Slight after taste that lingers and leaves you wanting more. One of the better dark browns I have tasted.

On tap at De Struise. Pour is red/brown with a very small beige head. Notes of heavy malt, dark fruit, bitter hops, berries, and slight licorice. Finish has a bit of added burnt sugar and vanilla. A bit of booze as well.
