09.01.13. Bottle. Large, light brown foam. Very dark, clear amber color. Aroma of some coffee and caramel, chocolate, buttery, sweet, maybe some cinnamon. Overall nice aroma. Taste is bitter, some coffee, alcohol. Smooth mouthfeel, pretty long bitter aftertaste.

Overall, nice aroma but otherwise average. I was told this is noticeably different from the original beer the competition winner submitted and won with.

330ml bottle pours a amber brown color with a finger and a half of light brown head that leaves some decent lacing on the glass. Aroma is dark fruits and grains with some citrus. Taste is a dark fruit and malty sweetness with a citrus hop bitterness finishing with some earthy tones. Medium bodied with mild carbonation. Overall, this brew suits the style well and I recommend it to others.

Bottle pour thanks to drsilverworm. The beer is a clear, dadk copper color with a white head of foam. The beer has strong caramel notes and moderate fruit and leather. The taste is fairly sweet and a little boozy. Big body and medium carbonation.

750ml bottle, shared with jstax. Bottled on 09/07/14. Hazy amber brown red color. Nice thin off-white head, leaves good thicker lace. Medium to bigger body. Smooth, kind of soft, lighter carbonation. Light slick texture, more dry finish. Dark fruit, toasty malt, some spiciness. Bit of dark chocolate. Moderate sweet taste, lighter bitter. Slightly astringent. Satisfying overall, decent to share, but as far as the style goes, an alright quad. Bit of a spicy bite to it. Weird lingering bitterness. Definitely couldn’t have finished this bottle on my own if I wanted to. Spicy bite on the end; astringency would have done me in.

Bottle at home.High creamy long lasting off-white head. Hazy dark orange brown body. Sour berries wineous roasted malt caramel aroma with hints of the alcohol. Astonishingly sweet cocoa caramel flavor with little hops bitterness, low carbonation and a long sweet finish Alcohol far from being as dominant as feared.

Flaska från beernavigator. BBD 05/16.

33cl bottle served in a Prearis glass. Dark brown and clear-ish (until your pour the sediment - with a long lasting white head. Aroma is dried fruits, Belgian yeast and typical ABT aromas. Very well balanced and hides the ABV very well indeed. Hints of chocolate shine through in addition to the flavours present in the aroma. A subtle bitterness in the finish.
