COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Brewed since 1921, Cristal is Peru’s No. 1 selling beer, combining a light-bodied liquid with strong Andean imagery. It has been the No. 1 selling U.S. import from South America over the last eight years, primarily appealing to the approximately one million Peruvian consumers in the U.S.

Clear light to medium golden yellow colour with a average, frothy, good - fair lacing, mostly lasting to diminishing, white to off-white head. Aroma is light moderate malty, grain, pale malt, vegetables, butter notes, light hoppy. Flavour is light moderate sweet and light light bitter with a average duration. Body is light to medium, texture is watery to oily, carbonation is soft. [20110626]

A light yellow beer with a thin white head. The aroma is next to non existing, but there are very faint notes of malt. The flavor is sweet malty with notes of caramel and straw, leading to a dry end. The mouthfeel is very carbonated and watery.

12 fl oz. Pours hazy pale yellow with a lacing head. Sweet citric to acidic note. Malty, hay and grassy flavour, slight sweet to medium dry. Finish is dry malty/grassy. Not _so_ bad and another country rating down. Huge thanks to Papsø for putting this on the table!

Bottled (from bierzwerg.de). Golden colour with mediumsized white fluffy head. Aroma is sweet malts, probably also some maize, as well as mild fruityness, cardboard and mild grainy notes. Flavour is quite sweet malts, maize, mild notes of cardboard as well. Finishes a bit bittery.
