3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 13/20
Very disturbing, it was not bad in flavour, but it is because there was no flavor, no colour no aroma, just new it was beer because of the bottle.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Cristal has a standard, white lager head, a clear, yellow-golden, bubbly appearance, and low-to-moderate lacing left behind. The aroma is of pungent, slightly skunked, bread aroma. Taste is of yeasty, bready malt with slight sweetness and bitterness. Mouthfeel is medium, and Cristal finishes crisp, refreshing, and highly drinkable. RJT

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
UPDATED: APR 30, 2006 It had a carbonated water taste to it (it’s like drinking soda), but it was very refreshing and it made me want to drink more. It did not have an awful finish. I placed a bottle of Premium Cristal in the freezer for 30 mins and it was rather good. My drinking mates had the same thoughts. Recommended ice cold.

Some SA beers are horrible - this is not one of them. One of the better tasting SA beers I've sampled. It has a dry finish and passes over the palate cleanly & real well. Not a brew to keep around the house, but good enough to let guests try if they want a SA brew nite. Decent

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Presentation: It was poured from a brown 11.2 oz bottle into a pint glass.
Appearance: The body has a clear golden yellow color with some visible carbonation. The head is small and it fades out quickly leaving only a few bubbles at the edge of the glass.
Smell: Not much going on here. It has the basic light cereal and grassy/straw like hop notes.
Taste / Palate: The flavor is of pale malt, hay like notes and light cereal grain with mild bitterness from the hops. The feel is light and easy drinking with average carbonation.

3.2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
This is a VERY creamy, smooth brew. The taste is rather fair. Nothing overwhelming. This is actually what makes it nice though. Easy to drink, malty. and a lot of head. Although it is light and not too strong, it does not lack uniqueness of flavor. I am not a big lager fan, but this is a very nice brew.

Definately a refreshing summer brew...too sweet when it hits the tongue...finishes crisply and cleanly...not nauseating by any degree...just not very pleasurable either...

Poured this beer full blast in a wheat
beer glass.Excellent shaving cream head, lacing too!A pour like this would leave Pilsner Urquell flat, but Cristal endures.A mild wheat grass flavour
sits well on the palate.I would like this
brew on a hot summer day, excellent
for racing.A big surprize compared to
Cubas Cristal.Beats any US macro.

Light golden color with a thin white head. Light aromas of grass and light malt. Sharp but not bitter.
