Very disturbing, it was not bad in flavour, but it is because there was no flavor, no colour no aroma, just new it was beer because of the bottle.

UPDATED: APR 30, 2006 It had a carbonated water taste to it (itís like drinking soda), but it was very refreshing and it made me want to drink more. It did not have an awful finish. I placed a bottle of Premium Cristal in the freezer for 30 mins and it was rather good. My drinking mates had the same thoughts. Recommended ice cold.

Some SA beers are horrible - this is not one of them. One of the better tasting SA beers I've sampled. It has a dry finish and passes over the palate cleanly & real well. Not a brew to keep around the house, but good enough to let guests try if they want a SA brew nite. Decent

This is a VERY creamy, smooth brew. The taste is rather fair. Nothing overwhelming. This is actually what makes it nice though. Easy to drink, malty. and a lot of head. Although it is light and not too strong, it does not lack uniqueness of flavor. I am not a big lager fan, but this is a very nice brew.

Definately a refreshing summer brew...too sweet when it hits the tongue...finishes crisply and cleanly...not nauseating by any degree...just not very pleasurable either...

Poured this beer full blast in a wheat beer glass.Excellent shaving cream head, lacing too!A pour like this would leave Pilsner Urquell flat, but Cristal endures.A mild wheat grass flavour sits well on the palate.I would like this brew on a hot summer day, excellent for racing.A big surprize compared to Cubas Cristal.Beats any US macro.

Light golden color with a thin white head. Light aromas of grass and light malt. Sharp but not bitter.

A definite cut above the average South American lager. Minimal skunkiness and graininess, enough hops to keep it interesting. Nearly Cristal-clear appearance. Iíll even go so far as to say that I liked it. I found that it went rather well with a Steak Fajita Cabana Bowl from Taco Cabana. Itís one of those dishes with a bunch of Mexican food stuff in a bowl made out of taco shell. First you eat the meat and rice, then you eat the bowl. Nothing more satisfying than looking down after dinner and seeing nothing but a table and an empty pint glass!
