2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20 GG (1980) - NorCal, California, USA - AUG 16, 2006
While I’ve yet to find a pale lager that blows me away, this isn’t really that bad. Aroma is corn flakes and some malt. Appearance is medium yellow/gold color, large bubbles and white head that melted rather quickly. Mouthfeel is smooth, light bodied with little harshness. Flavors were a little chlorine (wonder if that’s from the water source), slightly sweet and not much else. It will do the job as a lawnmower beer but outside of that it’s pretty useless.

11.2 ounce bottle from Wegman’s Leesburg. Pours a clear pale golden color with a large fizzy white head. Fair head retention. Aroma of grain, hay and grass. The taste is corn, grain, faint grass. Thin-medium bodied, high carbonation.

(Sample at September 12, 2008 Beer Club Meeting) Nice head! Very frothy. Typical pale yellow color with a tint of almost indetectable green... wait... no, it’s almost white! Aroma is sweet, taste is interesting. Served nice and cold, its temperature, carbonation, and liveliness is having a pleanant effect on my tongue. Very grassy aftertaste. Hey... this has lacing!

My first beer from Peru.
The beer pours a very clear, light yellow color with a white head. The aroma is fairly one dimensional and is full of grain. I also get a little bit of grass but the grain is overpowering.
The flavor is more of the same. I get some grain and grass notes as well as some bread from the malt. No real hop bitterness, causing the beer to be pretty sweet.
Light mouthfeel and medium carbonation.
2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20 Elwood (2490) - Leesburg, Virginia, USA - MAY 1, 2011
Serving: 330 ml. bottle from Wegmans Leesburg. It pours a very pale yellow with a large, foamy, bone white head. The nose has some noble hop notes and some light grain notes as well. The flavor has a bit of cereal sweetness but not much else. Very light in body with average carbonation leading to a short, clean finish. Easy drinking and not offensive but certainly not remarkable.

Bottle @ home. Peruvian tick but fuck man, I already got one. Dammit! Clear, light golden appearance with a white head. Crisp, lightly grainy, pale malty, grassy aroma. Sweet, light pale malty, straw, grassy flavor. Actually, pretty easy drinking light lager.
2.4 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20 spikester (602) - Salem, Oregon, USA - OCT 6, 2008
Pale gold with a one inch foamy white head and some white lacings. Mildly sweet light malts with a decent hop bitterness for the style. Surprisingly refreshing served cold. Wasn’t expecting much going in but I enjoyed this quite a bit. Some corniness as it warmed but not too bad.

Bottle from World Market in Davis, CA. Poured a gold color with a large white head. Thin-bodied beer with a fair amount of carbonation. Sweet malt flavor that went down smooth. Didn’t really get a lot of the grassy flavor I usually taste with most pale lagers. Pretty good brew.
