friggin dark and delicious near over the top chocolate porter. Tasted stout like and the chocolate and vanilla tones were done expertly. Great as a standalone or dessert.

On tap at the brewery. Pours a dark brown with small beige head that diminishes to nothing. The aroma is strong chocolate cake and syrup. Medium mouth, sweet, light roast, chocolate cake, very good.

This has an incredibly strong chocolate aroma. Flavor is also very strong of chocolate but chocolate and sweetness don’t really work for me. I don’t think it’s that tasty

Pour on tap at the brewery, dark brownish black pour with tan head, aroma brought notes of big chocolate, Hershey’s syrup, some slight booze into a bit of roast, touch of coffee into a bit of dark fruit. Taste was a mix of chocolate, booze, some slight roasted malt into more chocolate syrup, some slight coffee and caramel, finishing sweet, boozy. At the end turned a bit into chocolate liquer, but overall well done.

Hello, chocolate! White and milk chocolate do a sweet dance in the nose before lighter notes of weak coffee and some sour grain. Not a ton of depth to it, but it’s very sweet and smooth. A fantastic flavor as well. It begins again with sweet white chocolate, then the swallow gives way to a smooth combination of toast, vanilla, mocha, milk chocolate and graham crackers. It lingers forever, and I’m absolutely fine with that. Some tangy notes emerge at times, but they don’t detract too much from the good stuff. The medium-light body is a touch thin. Lightly carbonated, holding together well as it moves. Looong finish. A damn fine porter I could drink all night. Nicely sweet, deep enough in flavor to remain interesting. Glad to see it in cans.

A one-note Charlie. A good one-note Charlie, mind you. Think chocolate syrup. It is quite good, but can be a bit much. Not very complicated.

Draft from butt end of keg. Dark brown with creamy medium sized beige head. Smells like rich chocolate milk. Thin body. Flavor a disappointing watery version of aroma.

draft, it tasted like a kit beer, someone that got a beer making kit and make the porter. it was very thin with fake chocolate flavors. Moderate drinkability for a chocolate porter however.

On tap at the brewpub in Prescott where it pours with a dark body that supports a tan head. The aroma offers up the expected chocolaty maltiness as well as a sweetened dark roasted coffee sensation. The taste delivers a pleasing load of malt sweetened chocolate malts that have a sense of Nestle’s Quick chocolate milk two scoops of dry mix which works well here. Behind those layers of chocolate I get dark roasted malts to burnt malts and a hint of hoppiness. This has a pleasing deep roastiness balanced nicely by some malt sweetness. Solid brew.
