Growler. Chocolate-heavy nose with milk chocolate and cocoa along with a caramel and vanilla undertone and burnt sugar note. Muddy brown in color. Good melted milk chocolate taste with some coffee and roasted malt. Spot-on body for a porter, which is nice since it seems that far too many porters are too watery. A nice chocolate porter.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
On tap @ brewery. Pours deep black with good mocha head. Smell is tons of chocolate, some fig and raisins, dark bitter chocolate and roasted malt. Taste is chocolate, think chocolate Tootsie Pop with roasted malt and faint bitter dark cocoa. Sweet big flavored beer, not really a fan but could see this as a dessert brew.

Aw hell no. Dark walnut color, translucent decent lacing, normal khaki head. It smells AWESOME, like straight-up milk chocolate. SO heavyhanded I could barely choke it down. Itís so sweet at the beginning and so bitter at the end, itís confusing and unsettling. It has a super-warm palate though and itís a bit oily, but that partís alright, I guess. They get points for effort and originality but I canít imagine drinking 10oz of this, much less a pint (and I LIKE heavy beers).

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
On tap at Prescott Brewing
Clear but very dark, with a durable tan head. The glass is left nicely coated after each tip.
Aroma: Chocolate! Lots of chocolate, with hints of dark fruits and dark baked bread.
Flavor: Semi-sweet chocolate with hints of hops and medium+ dark malts. Some smoke and dark malts come out in the finish and aftertaste, but chocolate still dominates. Fun and pleasant but a bit too sweet.
Feel: Medium body and medium carbonation; creamy smooth
O: great dessert beer and for chocolate lovers.

At gabf. Pours very dark brown & clear. Rich cocoa on the nose. Medium- bodied palate is incredible. Chocolate flavor hits you in the back palate & lingers forever. Delicious.

Pint at the brewery. Pours dark brown, with a tan head. Aroma of deep chocolate, with a taste to match. Very sweet and rich. I like it, but I do like chocolate beers....thumbs up.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
on tap at the brewery on 7/25/10.
orange tinted brown porter color with a soft off white head.
it smells like count chocula cereal or woody nesquik with a touch of vanillin added to it.
the flavor is equally child-like.... add in some maple syrup and a dry roasty finish.
the body is light/medium. mouth feel is crisp and highly quaffable despite its candy-like nature and one dimensional-ism. 6/3/6/3/14/3.2
