hellbilly (815), scottsdale über alles, Arizona, USA Jun 21, 2008 tasted with the phoenix crew. supplied by sparky27... dark ruby color with a thin tan head and lots of spotty lacing. aroma of sour cream, malty grain, coffee, chocolate and some grassiness. the flavor is really cooked creamy and rather sour and milky. the usual malt/grain mixes with coffee, some chocoalte, earthy hoppiness and a tart finish. light to medium bodied with a meh mouth feel... Pours a clear black with minimal tan head. Nose is coffee, hops and dark chocolate. Palate is much of the same with a touch of sweet toffee added. Light mouth feel. Pours a dark brown with a small white head. Aroma of Roasted Barley, Fruit, chocolate. Flavor is cocoa, barley, fruit, coffee, caramel. Pretty good porter.
