Just another island’s version of a crappy pale lager. Blah. That about says it all. You pretty much know what this beer is all about, no sense in getting into the gory details.

1.9 AROMA 1/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 10/20
poured from bottle...to golden color with nice lasting carbonation. The head at the pour was large and white...it dissipated...but a little hung around. The aroma is a twinge metallic (something I find in all caribean and latino beers). Tastes of corn??? This is sweet to me for a Pilsner and very refreshing. Not much of a body and a tad bitter.

2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Bottled. Yellowish golden colour, mediumsized white head. Aroma is maize and very sweet malts. Flavour is quite the same, but not in a bad way, and has some nice bittering and balancing hops in it. Very refreshing.

1.3 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 4/20
Had this one bottled at a bed-and-breakfast in eastern Puerto Rico. A thin, bubbly white head dissipates rapidly atop a clear, medium yellow pour. Sweet malty, slightly yeasty nose, balanced in the flavor with very slightly bitter hoppiness, canned corn. Offputting carbonation. Blech.

2.1 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 7/20
Bottle aboard the NCL Magestic. Clear yellow-gold color with a barely-there white head that is gone in a hurry. Spotty lacing. Aroma of straw and weak malt. Light-bodied and bubbly with notes of hay, corn and mild hops. The finish is relatively flavorless aside from some weak hops. Easy to drink is about the best thing I can say for it.

2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
What is it with Caribbean beers being skunky? Maybe it’s the green bottle. Anyway, it wasn’t bad, the more you drink, and being in the DR, you drink a lot.

2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 5/20
OK, hard to get excited about this one either. And yet ... there was some taste of malt and some taste of real hops. But it worked fine with some nuevo Latino fish tacos. One was enough ... I quickly switched to wine.
