no head on a skunky-ish nose. Clear-nasty looking color. No bad flavor...well no flavor at all actually. Fizzy mouthfeel. uggy.

Bottle (3/2/04) This stuff is ubiquitous in Florida. Poor Floridians. Fairly dark jaundice yellow; small head that lasts. Aromas of microwaved turnip greens, cream corn, Georgia paper factories. Flavor in keeping with the aroma; tons of corn, white bread, somewhat winey. Horrid aftertaste of slimed iceberg lettuce - despite a rather dry finish from this international lager. Almost my first 0.5 rating, but it doesn't look so bad from a distance.

Deep straw in color with a small white head that lasted the duration of the beer.Aroma was of skunky hops and mild corn.Flavor was of corn and canned vegtables. Clean dry finish.

Clean lager aroma. Pale gold in color with slow carbonation. Has a peppery bite. Better than Bohemia Especial (DR). Drinkable. Tastes better in the DR than in the States which I attribute mostly to short shelf life and partly to environment. I found during my first tasting in the States a couple of years ago that, like Corona, it was helped by a slice of lime. This seemed less the case in the DR.

A very boring vegetable oil appearance, with a little bit of grainy soda head. Lots of adjuncts in this one. The flavor has a nice grassy hop bite, but still seems unbalanced, as if something is missing.

UPDATED: JAN 23, 2004 Rerate - after waking up the next morning and still tasting the "corn grits" every time I burp, I have decided to knock it down a few notches. Original - 1.6 Skunky, stale vegetable aroma greets you as you pop the top of this third world classic. Very light golden appearance with a decent white head and good bubble action. It's all downhill after that. Boiled corn flavor - and it says right on the bottle - corn grits!!! The aftertaste is quite metallic as well, feels unfinished; needs work. Not the most pleasant experience - but not a drainpour - plus I added another country to my list.

Enjoy this on a hot day under the Dominican sun. The beer is rather filling & full of flavor. At many bars the bottle is pulled from the cool-box and covered with frost. Delicious.

Draft at a bar in San Juan: Clear and straw colored; virtually headless. Light, watery mouthfeel. Light and bready malts. Some white wine notes. Fair amount of bitterness -- relative to the light malts. Herbal, bitter hops. No major offenses or off-flavors to complain about, but the beer was definitely boring.

Thin yellow and fizzy here. Too many adjunct flavors. Not much to recommend here.

Was at an all inclusive resort in the dominican. It was all i could drink for a whole week. So i convinced myself to like it. yellow, watery and did its job. Quench my thirst.
