2.6 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
$2 can at Frietkoten Belgian Fries & Beer. I admit. I kind of liked it. Slightly sweet adjuncty smell, yes. But the pour is golden yellow with a respectable bubbly head, looking better than a lot of the pissy American lites. The label clearly mentions "refined corn and sugar," so it’s not hiding its adjuncts. Yes, there is some corn sweetness, but with a matching bitterness that’s often missing in a foreign pale lager. For a beer you can get for $2 at a nice place in Chicago to sit down with a cone of frites… not bad.

2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20
Various cans and tap while on vacation. Clear gold yellow, sometimes some head depending on the pour. Actually smells and tastes like beer rather than cerveza. No skunk, mostly grains and a little apple sweetness. Light lager body, but fuller than the light version. Overall, a solid pale lager, definitely the best pale lager I’ve had from from the region so far. If you can drink North American macro lagers there is no reason why you shouldn’t like this.

Bottle, aged in Deans fridge then made it’s way to my fridge.. Flat, golden clear pour... No carbonation but that’s the side effect of being open for over a week.. Aroma is hay, honey and malts. Flavor is sweet, touch of honey and artificial sweetners.. Very boring, still easy drinking... Not much to say about this..

If you are not expecting anything groundbreaking, it is very enjoyable at first. After some bottles, the taste gets really bitter and perhaps salty, factors which are not very noticeable when you start drinking.

2 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 8/20
Bottle at Dean’s aged pale lager tasting. Finally, the aged pale lager, we’ve been waiting for. Aroma of grainy malts, soapy and very messy. Flavor is sweet hay, boring lager.

This beer is a delicious alternative to corona or bud light while on vacation. When served cold it's a nice, crisp, refreshing lager. It's not a German pilsner but is a delicious vacation beer.

Very forgettable beer. Usually south american lagers are quite tasty, but this one is simply watery. Good to quench the thirst, nothing more

1.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 7/20
Bottle from Beers of Europe. Poured a clear straw with a thin white head. The aroma is light malt. The flavour is light bitter with a huge malt corn cereal palate. Light bodied with soft carbonation. Truly awful! So bad in fact I won’t be taking a vacation there in a long time.
