$2 can at Frietkoten Belgian Fries & Beer. I admit. I kind of liked it. Slightly sweet adjuncty smell, yes. But the pour is golden yellow with a respectable bubbly head, looking better than a lot of the pissy American lites. The label clearly mentions "refined corn and sugar," so it’s not hiding its adjuncts. Yes, there is some corn sweetness, but with a matching bitterness that’s often missing in a foreign pale lager. For a beer you can get for $2 at a nice place in Chicago to sit down with a cone of frites… not bad.

Bottle. Pours palest yellow ever with large foamy white head, skunky aroma, low carbonation, sweetish taste, abrupt finish. This is really bad!

Pour out of 12 oz bottle, clear golden pour with thin fizzy white head, aroma is corn, grain, some husky notes with a touch of cereal, very light spice. Taste was some corn, cereal, and husky malt, touch of watery spice, finishing slightly sweet.

1.7 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 7/20
330 ml bottle. Supermarket beer smell with golden color, incredible amount of bubbles and a tall white head. Color and foam are nice, but the bubbles are not natural at all. Sweet taste, and a little almond aftertaste, but don’t imagine anything too fancy, it is very unbalanced and too much carbonated. It taste horrible actually, in the begining it is not bad, but know that i’ve tried more (I’m writing this has I drink) it’s terrible, men. Avoid this crap, focus more on the rhum if you’re in domincan republic.
