humlelala (882) - DENMARK - APR 11, 2014
(33 cl bottle from Vino Wines; BBD: 090115) A light gusher. Pours a dark, murky amber with plenty of tan head. Good retention and lace. Intensely aromatic with notes of grapefruit and spruce. Oily texture, medium carbonation, medium bordering on full body and a finish of sweetness that balances out the upfront impression of a rather strong hop bitterness. Flavour is very hop forward but bordering on an American amber in the sweetness and gravity department.

330ml bottle from Borough Wines, Stoke Newington. Pours a nice mahogany brown. Fresh resinous hops with some subtle touches of pineapple and mango (although that could be the mango I was eating just prior to opening this) with a smooth bitter finish. Very enjoyable and well crafted.

Biggo fizzo. Toffee tropical aroma of mango, pineapple and passionfruit. Tropical juice. Taste does not live up to the fruitiness of the aroma bit still great like a bitter candy.

Bottled, 33cl. Poured cloudy, dark amber, thick head. Inviting aroma, pine, citrus fruits, some caramel and yeast. Flavor has grapefruit, pine, sweet oranges, some berries perhaps in there as well. Finish is bitter and long. Slightly alcoholic in the end. Solid IPA.
