Pours pitch black color with a medium sized beige head. Aroma is quite roasty and malty, some chocolaty notes and coffee also. Flavor of cocoa powder, some roasted malts, mild vanilla and faint fruity notes. Soft carbonation, somewhat thin body, chocolaty creamy palate with a subtle bitter finish.

330ml bottle. Quasi black colour with small to average, creamy, half-lasting, moderately lacing, tan head. Roasty dark malty aroma, hints of coffee, burnt toast, nougat, tea flavour overtones. Taste is dry dark malty, minimally roasty, hints of black tea come close to minimally tart, soapy, astringent; smooth, soft palate.

Cask at LBA event. It pours near black with a bubbly beige head. The nose is rich roasted malt, coffee, earth, liquorice and black tea. The taste is roasted malt, earth, liquorice, burnt toast, black tea and moderate bitterness with a dry, roasty finish. Medium body and soft carbonation. The tea comes through pretty well. Rather flavoursome stuff!
