3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
11th May 2013
Hazy amber beer, little white head. Palate start smooth and turns minerally crisp. Unusual Wit - there is a little citrus and a trace of bubblegum ester but dominant flavour is a cooling mellow mint and spearmint! Finishes semi dry. No idea if this what was intended but I actually really liked it!

2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Sour and tart like a witbier should be. Lemon zest dominates a crisp, light mouthfeel. Very little in the malt. I struggle to get excited by this class of beers in general. Afraid more evidence it’s not my thing.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
330ml bottle from Cotteridge Wines: BBD 25 Apr 16. Poured into a Hoegaarden Grand Cru badged tulip at home on 14 Jul 15. I used to like the occasional Harvey Wallbanger in my formative years and was hoping this might have the same attributes: luckily it does not, although there is a strong orange influence within the beer (but no Vodka or Galliano flavours). Cloudy light orange in body colour, film and collar for a topping. Yeast orange aroma with a taste similar, a little tartness but not really sour or cheek puckering. Not a huge fan of this beer style, but this is one of the best I have actually had.

2.4 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20
A murky orange-yellow coloured beer with a very weak, white head. A mild wheat beer aroma, some citrusy orange fruit, hints of coriander spice, plus a bready aroma. Dry mouthfeel. A tart taste, orange and lemon then a dry coriander spice flavour, bringing a yeasty, bready flavour towards the end. A tart fruity finish with a dry spice background.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle thanks to allmyvinyl.
Appearance - cloudy golden orange, no head really.
Nose - oranges primarily, no sign of the usual coriander.
Taste - more of the same. Some spice in there too but not coriander - more like white pepper.
Palate - light to medium bodied with a tangy texture and a fairly balanced tangy finish.
Overall - enjoyable enough.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle picked up at Jack’s, Goring-on-Thames, Oxon, Saturday 25th October 2014 consumed the same day. Pours very pale gold, merest of haze, slim white head. Soft in mouth, dusty taste, yet note pretty fresh from bottle dates. A little sweet, wheatiness with a little sweetshop fruitiness. Whilst wheat ain’t my favourite beer style I was still expecting much, much better than this. A6 A4 T6 P3 Ov12 3.1
